I like the show because it shows you how countries and Kingdoms are really created. Through treachery, betrayal, battles and forgotten heroes like Uhtred. History only talks about Alfred the Great and his heirs because they wrote the history but there would be no England without Uhtred.

I don’t think enough hate is going to Rognvaldr. If he never convinced sigtryggr to attack, Edward would have pulled up and they would have talked it out and fought Athelwhater together.

Y'all gotta think about it. Uhtred was BORN as a Saxon and some of his closest friends are Saxons. Father Beocca was like a father figure for him. He loved him. And yes he was raised into being a Dane and he has had Dane friends and family but the thing is he's BOTH. It deeply hurts him to have to constantly pick between the 2. I can't even imagine being where he is. I mean he's been through so much. I really feel bad for him.
