slow week update
🕑 Added 2020-08-11 10:13:16 +0000 UTCmy plans for writing & sketching & drawing the comic are not working out this week because of the heat.
I will try to make up for it by drawing random things whenever I can.
the writing and sketching parts of comics are the most brain intensive parts and are tough to do on the best of days. not being able to think and concentrate is making this impossible.
where I live (in the Netherlands) we are not used to the heatwaves recent years have brought us, our houses are not built for it and we are apparent wimps compared to people who grow up in warmer climates. I do have 2 fans and a mobile air conditioning, but its not doing nearly enough. I have considered spending the 1000 bucks on a proper AC but this warmth usually only happens <10 days a year. it's not cost efficient and I will just wait it out.
in the meantime I will do my best to find some energy in the day to draw little things that don't require much thinking.

It is tough to work at such temperatures. The heatdays are increasing in middle of Europe too. Some of my family swear on a bucket of cold water for your feet to keep cool. But it's messy and you get everything wet -_-

Even as someone who lives in America, getting through days THAT hot without a proper ac can be horrible, and even dangerous. Just take care of yourself!

yeah its a tough choice tbh. its just slightly too much cash right now, setting it up during a heatwave would be hell too, and I need permission to place it in the first place. I will see how this summer goes.

Stay safe. From what I understand, many houses in the UK are designed to keep in the warmth for cold winters and such. This results in houses turning into ovens during these heatwaves. We had moved north to escape from the heat when I was younger, but it is creeping further and further. It's awful.

yeah, im also figuring out the mobile AC units dont do much because they lack a second hose to pull air back into the machine. we also completely blocked off the light. but the heat just gets to sink into the walls and even at night we cant cool it. anyway yeah I will do my best!

Just take your time and take it easy, I live in the Netherlands too, and I'm staying inside, with the blinds and curtains blocking the sun, with a mobile AC right in my room, and it's still 29 degrees. I really couldn't care when you upload it, just that you upload it!
