There was no genjutsu involved. Their opponent is similar to a snake and with that being said it is said that a snakes gaze can paralyze you with fear and that’s what happened. Sasuke even describes how frightening it was just to make eye contact with her. So yea no genjutsu needed. I know you’re way past this but if you happen to come back there ya go
