Sasuke is completely justified. The person who murderer his entire family and made him watch it for hours is just walking around as a criminal and taunting Sasuke. Sasuke needs to confront and get closure from his traumatic past. sorry for commenting late

This is one of the few times Madison got it wrong. Sasuke is one of the rare cases where he does not selfishly want power. He isn’t power hungry just out of some selfish desire to be stronger. His desire for strength is purely because he genuinely believes it’s necessary to defeat his brother and avenge his clan. That is his sole motivation and desire.

I do agree I think Sasuke eventually would've become strong enough to beat Itachi anyway. It just would've happened over a much longer timeline than if he left for Orochimaru. Even Naruto's biggest gains happened outside of Konoha. Itachi being older and more experienced he had basically peaked by Shippuden while Sasuke still had a lot of room to grow.

Sasuke wasn't being evil, and what do you mean treating Naruto, he is getting in the way of Sasuke's goal which is to kill his brother, and if Naruto wants to get in the way, then Sasuke has no choice but to beat him.

sasuke funnily enough would have progressed in konoha and eventually killed itachi... He was too hasty in joining orochimaru. It ultimately took sasuke less than 4 years to go from kakashi's bell test to unlocking the rinnegan. He was being way too demanding of himself in wanting to kill itachi while still being a kid. Ultimately sasuke had more talent than itachi, the reason why sasuke was weaker than him initially was because sasuke was raised in peace time until his clan died... itachi was instead focused because he lived through a great war even before the academy. Another advantage itachi had was that he was trained by shisui when a child. sasuke ended up having to train himself until kakashi became his sensei. Sasuke was always the more talented of the brothers, he was just too rage filled and delusional to see it.

What Orochimaru did wouldn't have mattered if Sasuke and Itachi never met after the Chuunin Exams. Or if Sasuke had progressed to his liking in Konoha. Itachi is the primary motivator behind his decision making. Naruto kinda sorta a distant second.

You know it’s always serious when Madison curses as slow as she did in this episode 😂😂 we should definitely get a more open ended answer from Madison though on whether she thinks sasuke might be/or believes himself to be justified. Seeing as how we are reaching the end of a part, and ending/starting big arcs with much of this show having gone by, I think it would be dope. Like a podcast 👀👀👀

True but partially disagree. Orochimaru definitely played and preyed on Sasuke’s past, ambition, and future. Know he would want power to kill Itachi, Orochimaru gave him the curse mark while implying it would be a means to get to his goal

It really should emphasized, Orochimaru didn't change Sasuke. It was Itachi. It's only ever been about Itachi. Killing Itachi is his singular goal. Sasuke was perfectly content living in Konoha as long as doing so would provide him the means to kill his brother. Once he saw how wide the gap was between them still he chose a different path. Imo Sasuke's character motivations up to this point were justified and he wouldn't be fighting Naruto right now if he had just left him alone and let him leave.

Sasuke's decision is understandable but not justifiable. I don't like the way he was treating Naruto here and Sasuke's my favorite character. I think the writers went overboard with his "evilness". He shouldn't have been THIS "evil" IMO.

Sasuke has finally become resolute in choosing a path, the path of hatred. Resolve can give an upper hand in battle, and he has already acquired a power-up. Think about it. A couple of days down this path did more for Sasuke (in terms of power growth) than weeks of training in the Leaf. You can see the realization on his face, he feels justified in thinking this choice was the correct path, and what better person to test that path than Naruto, who set out to find his "own ninja way". Well Naruto, you'd better find it quick because your boy ain't pulling punches.

Even during this brief flashback of Itachi, the hints were there if you looked hard enough. There are just some things you cannot fake and the content disposition on his face whilst carrying Sasuke is one of them. He genuinely enjoys being his big brother.

Actually 6 but I hope we can get to Shikamaru’s arc very quickly. That’s when the show really takes off. Peak Shippuden is between episode 70-220 in my opinion, that stretch is straight fire 🔥

Many people don’t know that Sasuke has a boost in power even without activating his curse mark. Just having Orochimaru’s presence within him through the bite is a decent power boost by itself
