Don't say it wasn't nothing in comparison. Sasuke lost his whole entire family by the hand of the person he loved most and he was tormented and traumatized my this person not once but twice. Itachi made his choices for noble reasons but that doesn't mean Sasuke's feelings and trauma should be swept under the rug because unlike Itachi Sasuke had no choice in the events that transpired. Itachi would go on to say he failed in regards to his decision because while he wanted to protect Sasuke he kept him in the dark of everything so he could remain pure but fate had other plans; remember this isn't just Sasuke choosing this it's also history repeating itself with the two brothers so Sasuke through many evils whispering in his ears like Orochimaru and Masked Obito was pretty much guaranteed to walk the dark path not just purely out of selfishness but manipulation. Like many of the Akatsuki members such as Sasori and Nagato they are victims of the shinobi system just like Sasuke which bred them into what they eventually became. Sasuke may want revenge on Itachi now but you're forgetting his later vendetta against the Leaf and how corrupt they actually are for how badly they treated his clan and making his brother the scapegoat. Sasuke has the right to feel the way he does toward them later on in the series. It goes way further and deeper than Sasuke just being a brat.

To answer the mangekyo Sharingan quiz without spoilers, what Madison described is Tsukyomi. That is an ability of Itachi’s mangekyo sharingan but that is not what the mangekyo Sharingan is.

sure he would. Sasuke became powerful QUICKLY... If he stayed he would have eventually become stronger. He would have not trained with Orochimaru but he might've trained with naruto and Jiraiya. Who knows? And he would be able to beat Itachi with help and still learn the truth and get the mangekyou.

To answer your question about what we'd do, I'd take the Vegeta route and find my own power much like we ultimately see in Sasuke. Rather than copy someone before me, I'll forge my own path.

Madison is feeling really bad for Sasuke, but little does she know, this is nothing compared to what Itachi felt that night to have his village as a whole. He knew that innocent people would get in the crossfire of his clan’s violence, so he had to be a double agent for the village instead of just his clan. Also, Itachi couldn’t get his 8-year-old younger brother involved. At that time, Itachi was more mature than other 13 year olds and had a mind of a Hokage. If given the chance, he would have been a great Hokage.

It’s crazy how as soon as Gaara starts coming to the light sauske starts falling into the darkness . It broke my heart seeing this as a kid because sauske did truly care about team 7 but sauske would of never became and powerful as he is now if he didn’t leave

Plus, the Mangekyo Sharingan is already the 4th level of the Sharingan and Sasuke right now is at level two he possesses the two tomoe Sharingan and during the fight he will get the three tomoe Sharingan(like Kakashi).

These episodes help to elaborate on why Sasuke is the way he is. The ends justify the means in his mind. Power leads to a desire for conflict(Itachi killing Shisui and his clan to test his power), and lack of power leads to losing it all (Sasuke being too weak to do anything to stop it). If you have enough power, if you're strong enough, you can enact your will despite any perceived consequences. Power is a necessity in the shinobi world. The next few episodes will be straight 🔥!!!

There's obviously other ways to become strong in this world. If Sasuke hates his brother so much why would he listen to him? "Your brother is your brother and you are you." Sasuke always lived in his brother's shadow and his mother wanted him to know that there was no reason for it. When Sasuke said what if he took away everyone Kakashi cared about and was told "All of the people you're talking about are already dead." At this point Sasuke knows his situation isn't quite as unique as he believed. The shinobi world is a world of war. It is full of those who have lost it all. Obviously if Sasuke wishes to defeat his brother he will need ambition sure. The story unfolds as it does but realistically I don't think Sasuke made the right choices here. He's impatient to gain the power he believes necessary to defeat Itachi.

In a way, Sasuke is looking to Naruto for help, but not in the sense we want. By killing Naruto and being able to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan, Naruto would be helping Sasuke achieve his goal. No logic, but this is where Sasuke is at by this point.

I blame the third hokage and the fifth hokage. Third Hokage, you paid no attention to Sasuke. Let orochimau live to waltz into the village and give him the curse mark. Fifth Hokage comes in knowing Sasuke is Orochimaru's target and has zero security for him. Has the sound 5 waltz into the village and kick Sasuke's ass. Then he just walks out through the main exit. They bare a part of the blame for all of this.

I think Sasuke thinks that Itachi is pure evil. So no matter what happens, it’s worth it to kill him as he is the ultimate evil. Even if that means teaming up with Orochimaru. Also recall that no one in the leaf village really poses a threat to Itachi. Maybe Jiraiya. But Itachi one-shotted Kakashi and left him in a hospital bed for possibly ever if Tsunade hadn’t healed him. I think that might be the biggest reason why Sasuke has chosen to go down this path. He saw Kakashi get his ass kicked, or at least the aftermath, and is like I will not get strong enough to beat him if I stay here. Hence going after the man who killed the third Hokage.
