A few key points I would like to highlight. How did Kakashi create a shadow clone when he was already close to being tapped? How did Kakashi's shadow clone survive about 5 direct hits without disappearing, when usually 1 significant hit is enough to destroy a shadow clone? I'm shocked no one ever notices that Shikamaru almost kills Ino and Choji when he threw a paper bomb at Kakazu. Kakazu didn't even need to dodge. He could have used Choji and Ino as his shield or tanked the blast. I also believe that they dumbed down Kakazu for plot armor purposes. Kakazu could have easily took Ino hostage and that would have been the end of the battle because she is their best friend and the medical ninja. Shikamaru would have given up in an instant.
