I think Sasuke remembered team 7 because this is the first time since he formed Taka that he actually felt like they were a true team. Seeing how each one of them sacrificed for him just reminded him of his old team who did the same for him.

No longer having to impatiently suffer a filler episode once per week that moves the plot nowhere, I find I can actually get a bit more enjoyment out of these filler arcs. The slower change of pace isn't as frustrating anymore when you aren't stuck with literal months of filler like we were during the original airing. Might blitz through the arc this weekend

In a sense of direct and well done story, I think you're right. Especially the conclusion with Nagato and how we get that later too... yeah its damn good stuff. Toss up over, Pain arc is the best pure arc vs the multi-faceted 4th great war.

I agree, I definitely think there’s good moments all around in the War Arc. Naruto meeting his Mom, bringing back old characters in a clever way, Naruto becoming good friends with Kurama, seeing Might Guy fight, and Sasuke and Itachi getting redemption. I just feel the good isn’t enough to outweigh the bad imo, which is why I believe Pain Arc is the best one

So its definitely not as good as the 3-tails, Crystal User arc but getting to see Utakata's story and watch more of the Naruto effect in action on a fellow Jinchuriki does add some value to the 4th great war arc when we learn those wonderful names. I think you should blaze through them mostly watching his key moments. The background story isn't bad, but its sort of mundane in my opinion. I won't spoil it for ya, its not too long.

Fair points, the sheer filler overload post Pain is truly painful, maybe that was the anime's way of making us know Pain! LOL. Had too, but I think for the majority of the 4th great war arc its really incredible, the relationship between Kurama and Naruto blossoming from the recognition of Six Paths and the scale of the battles and such. There's a ton of fantastic moments, but it could have been handled better in the end for sure. Kaguya felt like such an over the top ass pull that wasn't necessary. Madara is bad ass enough on his own to be the ultimate antagonist. *She doesn't read the comments*

Yeah Madison nailed it. Contrary to how he presents his emotions, bonds like friends and family are very important to Sasuke and he's remembering team seven which means he really cares for these guys with him now. His actions may not always show it because his overarching goals tend to override his feelings for others lol.

I feel the same way, but regarding it from an author perspective too. I felt there was to much filler stuffed in between the fights. Coupled with the anticlimactic Madara fight, Kaguya being last minute, and the overall abandonment of the power system/hand signs

Fair assessment. Utakata is a pretty cool dude and struggles with the master student dynamic because of his perceived treatment as a jinchuriki.

Sounds good brotha. You guys can always watch the 6 tails filler arc later as bonus content haha. It’s a cool little story but definitely disrupts the flow we’re in now during these peak Naruto moments.

Sasuke is not at 100% here. He lost the Curse Mark and Orochimaru healing abilities and he still hasn't fully recovered from his fight with Itachi as pointed out by Jugo. Furthermore his Mangekyo Sharingan isn't developed enough, YET, to make up for the loss of all those passive boosts. So yeah fighting the perfect jinchuriki of the Eight Tails wasn't the smartest move. (I'm a Sasuke fanboy, but yeahhh he got washed.)

Sasuke thought of team 7 because seeing how his new team sacrificing themselves for each other reminded him of those bonds he had in the leaf and he wants to protect those bonds deep down

I was kinda hoping to finally watch this filler arc but I'm also assuming it's fairly average. Might check it out on my own time. One thing to note is this filler arc does get tied into the anime Canon much much later and gets referenced. Not a big deal. Just know that Naruto met the 6 tails once and that's pretty much all there is to it

A lot of the filler coming up is really bad. The later parts of Naruto has quality filler that I'd recommend watching. Solid 7/10 if you rate the canon a 10/10
