I would go with Obito, but I'm not saying that is the right answer. It's honestly a selfish one. A mission could decide the fate of an entire village. Failure could mean the end of you, the friend you saved, and the village. No matter what, you're sacrificing something. That's why you can respect someone who has thought the decision over, but someone jumping the gun and making an immediate decision I would look out for.

Remember in original Naruto when the Chunin Exams were starting. Kakashi told Iruka "When I became a Chunin I was six years younger than Naruto is now." Naruto was 12 at that time so Kakashi made Chunin at six. He looks 12 here so he made Jonin this time. Considering his reputation now, that tracks. Also in the Land of Waves arc Kakashi explains the five great nations to his team. The Village Hidden in the Stones is one of them. Obito is first mention in OG Naruto I believe after the 3rds death. Kakashi was at different grave site and someone ask him if he was visiting obito again.

It's always made me wonder if Kishi would just randomly forget about the 1 tomoe pattern for whatever reason, because the fact that he started off with the 2 tomoe right off the bat would suggest that he possessed more talent than every other Uchiha and that definitely wasn't the case.

Man too think I watch this episode special of Kakashi several times, but this is the 1st time I watch it with people reacting to the episodes and just seeing you guys cry just made me so emotional I think it made me more emotional and crying compared to the 1st time I watch it, it's insane haha. So the reason why kakashi said that obito helped him perfect this jutsu is because minato said that the chidori is too linear and its to hard to ascertain someones movements moving so fast and is left open to a counter attack. But with the sharingan he can see his opponents movements whilst moving at high speed and can adjust accordingly

As painful as it would be, I’d have to go with Kakashi’s philosophy. You can’t weigh the life of one over the life of many. As Shinobi, you know what’s at stake for taking that lifestyle and you accept the risk it comes with. Especially in war times like they were in these episodes.

I'm completely with Obito's philosophy vs Kakashi's. I play that way with my bros in gaming even. Also, The White Fang is another character who I feel highly deserved to at least be shown off in one of the Naruto Storm games right next to Guren.

Oh man. This flashback is one of the many reasons Shipudden is my favorite anime. Obito is so utterly important to the series. We know fully why, but for now this will always make me cry.

I know at the funeral, and also by the Anbu with the purple hair. And also he referenced them to Sasuke during the fight with Naurto. The episode before “Invitation from the Sound”. Can’t wait to see this podcast or post episode discussion. The philosophies are awesome; it’s important to note that while obito is more of his comrades he was fueled by his emotional attraction to Rin as his reason for not even thinking about leaving her

I'm a 62-year-old woman who never even thought of anime before a few years ago when my niece got me into it. I started Naruto myself without my niece's influence maybe 3 years ago and have watched OG, Shippuden, and Boruto many times. I know exactly when to get the box of kleenex ready. Episode 120 was one of those episodes.

Obito was mentioned in OG Naruto at the third hokage’s funeral and the next episode when Asuma and Kurenai meet up with Kakashi outside the restaurant Itachi and Kisame were at. They were quick conversations so I would be impressed if a first time viewer would’ve remembered Obito’s name.
