I wonder how they managed to pull off lying about Naruto's ancestry. The Fourth's wife, Kushina, was noticeably pregnant, so either they said Kushina Uzumaki and the baby died in the event, or the Third Hokage is running interference anytime people start putting two and two together. The kid has his mom's last name and looks like his dad; there was a baby that looked just like the Fourth, who happened to be there when the nine-tails needed to be sealed. I don't know how Lord Third could explain away all these "coincidences." No one was like, well, the baby and the now dead formerly pregnant lady have the same last name...

In the story or overall? If the story i hate to break it to you he's arguably the best villain because of the impact he has on the rest of the story and Naruto himself. The villains following him are nothing compared to him. They're just villains for the smaller reason than Nagato

Tbh i don't think Tsunade wasted her life energy for nothing because everyone would've been dead. Even Hinata who was the trigger for naruto's four tails. Naruto would've probably never got to go in that nine tails state and learn/meet from his Dad. Which means Pain could've won this fight if things didn't turn out the way they did. It is fortunate everything turned out in their favor for souls to be revived? Yes, but in the end it was better to prevent any life causalities

(I love them and that’s the main reason I subbed. I just think the show jumped the shark from a writing perspective and I don’t like where the show ends up going. One of my favorite episodes. I love Naruto's reaction when he gets back to the Leaf and everyone is there and cheering for him. It was like he didn't know why they would be doing that.

Ehhh. It's a backstory that doesn't exist in the manga, so it's not canon. I never understand why eps like these are significant when it didn't come from the author and therefore never happened.

Kakashi giving peace to his dad, pain saying goodbye with a warning and reaffirming belief in Naruto, Naruto saying his last farewell to jiraiya after avenging him and fulfilling the prophecy, then kakashi catching Naruto as they are reunited, then the him finally being acknowledged as the hero! Omg what a masterpiece of an episode and an amazing conclusion to one of the single greatest arcs of all time! ! Not just anime, I mean of all time of anything ever. Your guys pure love for Naruto makes it better! The genuine happiness that dawns over Madison’s face when she experiences it for the first time is what reactions are all about and baris impending emotion that can’t be helped when a moment is being relived is something all Naruto fans go through when they hold this show close to their hearts! We may differ on many things and many of us fans can be different in many ways but Naruto is where so many can come together and acknowledge the hero as one!

You guys are now 1/3 into Shippuden. Counting OG, that means the character arc of Naruto is halfway done. From starting as an orphan who was hated and shunned by the villagers, he is now loved and revered by them. Initially Naruto wanted to become the Hokage in order to be acknowledged and respected. Now that he has that respect, he now seeks to become Hokage for a different reason. Which is to break the cycle of hatred and bring true peace to the ninja world.

Nagato’s final words are so true to life. I think that many believe that the show does not get any better than the pain arc and while I think it is fantastic I don’t actually agree with such a statement. I’ll definitely be interested to hear Madison’s opinion on future episodes and arcs
