Madison doesn’t read the comments, so I don’t mind posting. The twins are important for the story because their nine tails chakra is what’s used to revive the ten tails. They can’t revive the ten tails without killing Naruto to extract that chakra.

Except they truly have no actual purpose other than giving their weapons to the allied Shinobi force.. tbh they are kinda crap writing. They show up, get foddered, give their special weapons to the allied shinobi force BY getting fodderized, and then nothing really comes out of it. The weapons aren't used to make meaningful change. And the only person who gets character growth from them is darui. Who's a side character that didn't appear for 18 seasons of the show. Baris is correct.

It's because the brothers never felt genuine. It would be different if they had sown the seeds early on, but Kishi didn't, like he did for other legacy characters of the show like Hashirama.

Darui knows the brothers have 9 tails chakra, yes? And surely he's seen Bee or Yugito in that form before. Which means it's logical to assume that's what the 9 tails jinchuriki looks like, without ever having seen it

They mentioned it when the random old man told the story again. These two characters were involved with the Nine Tails before Madara meaning before even Hashirama and Mito (I think that was her name) his wife. They would later fight the Second Hokage. Definitely not the highlight of the war arc by any means lol.

Everything that seems convenient is set up in a way earlier in the show. Also, If it didn't take the 6 paths ninja tools, and hella shinobi to defeat kinkaku in his 9-tails cloak, then what would that say about the 2nd hokages strength?

Nothing is convenient at all, these are ninja we've never seen before so of course if the Raikage had anybody in his whole village that could teleport objects he would use them in the intel core. The Naruto verse is so massive that there are probably thousands on ninja yet to be seen and we'll never see

I regret to inform you that the Stinkapoo brothers are full canon. If I recall correctly, the filler here is actually mostly the zetsu fights etc... I think both brothers just had annoying personalities. There was nothing cool or funny about them besides having strange weapons and an obscure link to the sage of six paths/nine-tails. It's a shame because usually Kishimoto writes great dialogue with paired villain duos like Akatsuki members but these 2 are so dull and forgettable imo

The gold and silver brothers were during the second hokage's reign... More specifically, they Dang near took him out. This was explained earlier briefly. And the nine tails encounter with them happened before the fight between Hashirama and Madara, which were basically a year or 2 older than the second hokage , as the second hokage was Hashirama's brother... So same time period but before Hashirama Senju captured them all to distribute between the villages
