The mask makes sense because the real Madara was known to have died at final valley. Tobi could easily be assumed to have the mask because of injuries to his face. Tbh in the naruto universe you don't necessarily need a mask to pretend to be someone else. Orochimaru masqueraded as the Kazekage right next to his old sensei for example. But even low genin can transform looks and voice to resemble someone else, like Naruto did on the first day when team 7 was formed.

I felt like there were enough hints that it was the 4th hokage as far back as the search for Tsunade arc back in part 1 when you saw a picture of him for the first time with that yellow hair and Jiraiya referring to Naruto as the fourth hokages legacy. I guess that could mean the nine tails within him, but that was enough for me to assume correctly he was secretly the 4ths son

In retrospect, it's rather peculiar that not a single individual from the allied forces ever questioned the authenticity of the masked man being Madara. One of the biggest red flags here is the fact that in spite of coming out of the shadows and revealing himself to the nations, he still dons a mask. If his identity is already public knowledge, you would think someone would find it odd that he still insists on hiding his face.

How to beat madara you ask. The answer is simple. No. He is God. He is invincible. He cannot be defeated by anyone. He faked defeat against hashirama in order to obtain a portion his power. That is madara Uchiha. The God who judges of all of us and he who shall bring forth peace and prosperity.

There were clues to tobi not being Madera. When kabuto first came to tobi he said, "i hear you're going by madara." That was a dead giveaway that tobi is not who he claims to be. The only he could have started this war was by claiming to be madara, an unbeatable shinobi. That unseen reanimation kabuto showed tobi that shook him to his core forced into forming an alliance due to blackmail. He realized kabuto knew his secret and could expose him to the world at anytime.

Yeah I never really believed in that Future Naruto theory but it was an interesting one regardless. Most of it probably centered around Yahiko having the exact same hairstyle, only orange, which led people to believe that Pain had some kind of relation to Naruto. Myself included. Kinda interesting the way it panned out where the unseen Nagato ended up actually being in the same Uzumaki clan while Yahiko only shared some character traits but no relation whatsoever

You're wrong baris and Madison is right, White zetsus only turn to tree when naruto touches them in this case kills them. they don't turn to trees when they die in general. we saw thousands of zetsus die already before naruto even came and they stayed normal. remember that his energy is full of life force which made yamatos wood style bloom and zetsu is "made from hashirama cells" therefore wood.

just a tid bit here but the white zetsu react to narutos life energy hence why when he attacks them and theyre defeated they sprout trees because they are basically hashirama cells

I have watched this episode more times than anything, I swear. I remember suspecting Madara was in that coffin that Kabuto revealed and felt so vindicated with this reveal. At least by now I also already had 2 Masked Man suspects. I wondered what if was Shisui Uchiha the teleporter or maybe even... youknowwho. The internet theories were really fun with Naruto while it was airing. Back in the early Shippuden days when Pain was still just a hologram, people were theorizing that Pain was a time-travelling Naruto from the future
