another question, is there a keybind for changing embedded profiles? I noticed I can use the arrow keys to move the selection around, but the "enter" key does not select a new embedded profile.

yes I noticed I can select one-by-one with ctrl, but I wanted to select a series of 100+ from a video extract.

nice idea you can post an issue here. but you can select multiple already with pressing ctrl : https://github.com/visomaster/VisoMaster

is it possible to select a range of faces with just two clicks, such as by holding "Shift" key and selecting the first and last face in the series?
