I really like this display, I think we have a winner.

Love analog displays they reminded me time moves continuously. But, Planck that jerk, ruined it for me.

I was just working on multiple issues with the electrical power wiring at a friend's home. With the power off, the default light was either late-afternoon indirect sunlight coming in the window or weaker illumination from the hallway ceiling light. While I could see OK in general, all my meters/testers that lacked a backlight totally sucked, no matter how great the displays were in all other respects. For portable and handheld instruments, a lack of effective display illumination (front, back or active/OLED, I don't care) is a huge no-go for me. Of course, going back later today I'll wear a headlight. Still, I want my handheld electrical/electronic meters/testers/tools to not be useless without external illumination. Even the weak LED on my drill proved extremely useful in those conditions. Sure, the uTimer is a "bench" instrument, but its portability invites other off-bench uses, and I'd love the display to help.
