That little girl and even arima with the white hair. There are two ova episodes that are prequels, you should watch them. It helps give some context and background. I think one episode is called like Jack and I forgot the other one

The problem is Tokyo ghoul story is so dark that they cut out a lot of scenes and so it gets confusing because they remove all context to certain scenes especially ones that's going to come up later and because he's in too technically didn't follow the story properly you don't understand nothing for this season
