[ WIP ] Happy platypus

Since the vote difference between them and Pangolins was almost the same, I thought I should draw them too.
This is my first time drawing a platypus, so I practiced a little more.
At first, I just thought of a platypus floating on the water. But I thought it was more lively and fun to see it swimming. So I thought I should draw it swimming.
I looked up videos of them swimming. They look like they're having a lot of fun in the water. They're very fast and flexible.
The black circle is the head, the red circle is the body, and the red line is the tail and direction.
Platypuses close their eyes when they swim. However, I made some of them close their eyes. I think it's cuter if they have their eyes open than if they all have their eyes closedπ
I thought the platypus's small eyes were so cute, so I drew eyes smaller than I usually draw.
They have soft bills. I saw a video of a platypus being held by a person and it looked like it softly. To express this, I added a subtle pink line to the edge of the bill.
Also, they have a sense of electrolocation, so I expressed it with small effects (yellow)

Haha, yes, there are so many fascinating animals in Australia. I haven't drawn them all yet, so I want to draw them someday! I really want to visit Australia too. It's a place with amazing nature...!

They are adorable! I just got back from Australia and although I sadly didnβt see any platypus, I did some adorable wallabies and echidna. Iβd love to see echidna illustrated in your style.
