Oh! They’re called C-shaped tables. I like mine because it fits directly over my lap no matter where I sit, and it’s light enough to move around.

I saw your post (I can’t remember where?) asking other artists what their setup for drawing is. I don’t draw very much anymore due to unrelated wrist pain, but when I do, I find my bed doesn’t offer the right support. Instead, I sit on the couch, and I either put the iPad on a pillow on my lap or on this small, lightweight table that only has 2 legs (they connect into a full square underneath.) Either way, I have a pillow for lumbar support behind my back, and a pillow under each arm to rest them comfortably while I work. I hope you find a position that works well for you. ❤️ Back pain is awful, and it’s best not to ignore what your body is telling you. 💞
