Progress Report : July 12th 2023
🕑 Added 2023-07-12 18:01:25 +0000 UTCHello everyone, it's been a while. First of all I'm sorry for the absent during May and June, I've been in rough condition, and had to sort the things out.
Now I'm back and on the track, I'll start make progress report again weekly. but since I have to work on project to bug fix, sprite progress update will be July 22nd 2023.
1. So are you still developing Dungeon Sanctuary?
Yes, I'm working on it full 24/7 and have plan to wrap up the project until 2024 June~July.
Also, here's the sprite works I've been working on :
2. Introducing new night raid monsters(working in progress):
Kepadelian(Kěpà de liǎn) is Ghost type monster spawn explosive ghosts, and it will keeps teleports around heroine. Player must eliminate this wraith by all cost because explosive ghosts will give critical injuries on heroine.
Onryo cannon is a type of wraith that shoots long range timed bombs around sanctuary. they usually show up edge side of sanctuary, makes player away from heroine.
Banshee is type of fairy close to death. They seek for the dying people, and cry for them. In other word, crying banshee represents someone's death.
When banshee spawns, certain noise will start hearing from the direction she showed up and Heroine will loses her HP gradually.
Kick her out of sanctuary as soon as possible.
Poltergeist is type of invisible wraith unless player is really close to her, and she will throw all sort of dangerous weapons to slime until player kick her butts.
3. Sanctuary changes :
Now Sanctuary is sideview. Player can move left and right.
there going to be more areas like this in dungeon area.
4. Save statue remake :
This statue is now remade to...

and when player interact with this statue, I'll be zoom in...

Now statue work as " Map / Skill slot set / Save".
When Player leave the statue, It'll automatically save the progress.
Player can set his attack style at the statue.
Yes, player can only hold up to 3 attack styles.
but changing it will not cost anything.
This is temporary map but It shows entire area of north side of dungeon.
5. Wardrobe :
Player will be able to collect the costume for heroine
and here's GUI for wardrobe
Player will be able to customize heroine's outfit here.
6. Night raid related object(Working in progress):
Player will be able to build "statue of fallen angel"
During day time, Player need to gather the resources to build this statue. This statue is one of buildable relic that can be use during night time to protect heroine and slime self.
Once player finish build statue, it'll become colorful
Statue will erase every invaders in sanctuary, and prevent monster spawn for 10 seconds to give player time to take a breath and gear up items
7. Magic locks
Magic locks are applied in north side of dungeon. These blocks will stop the player's progress to make them not lost
Sometimes it uses as a puzzle, and sometimes it uses as key to open shortcut
8. Major system changes and Save system change :
previous save system has changed and rebuilt from the zero.
Now game no longer save "Anytime/everywhere/anywhere" due to the unfixable bug that makes player stuck inside the wall when Player exit while outside area of sanctuary.
Now Monsters and items will respawn as soon as player move to other area without waiting for 7 real life hours.
in exchange, when player move to other area, it'll cost 30 mins of in game hours to prevent infinite Item farming.
9. Heroine H scene (Working in progress) :
Spine animation of big pixel image currently I'm working on it.
10. WIP build update :
Currently I'm working with programmer for bug hunts.
Due to the major system change, Project was almost unplayable for straight 3 months, but most of bugs now fixed and much stable.
after minor tweaks, WIP build will be update on this weekend on Sunday, July 16, 2023

Wow so much stuff! Again love all your monster designs, especially with how unique all the monster/corrupted girls look. Being able to see a map of the environment is going to make playing the game so much better! Also loving how detailed the pixel art is becoming, those statues look great! Shame they aren't living characters, haha.
