I was over the moon when Linny commissioned me to draw her fursona singing on stage! Of course I HAD to include Airam in the audience, since Kaz is his favourite artist (you can see her LP and poster on his apartment wall on page 31).
I think I learned a lot drawing this piece, and even though it was challenging I really enjoyed the whole process! In the WIPs you can see there were three rough sketch ideas and this one got chosen. After that I made a detailed sketch, lineart and base colours, but the curtain didn't feel right so... piano time it was. I had never in my life drawn a piano of any kind, so it's very heavily referenced and I was even afraid to draw it. But it was actually fun, and I'm really happy with how it looks in comparison to the curtain!
I'll upload a full resolution version at the end of the month with my other works from this month. :3

Ooh, I just noticed, was she already present on page 11 or was it someone else ? (Also I can’t stop re-read the comic, it’s so wonderful)

Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to have a calm blueish mood, so I didn't want to add bright spotlights apart from the one right above her. Maybe my screens are really bright, because the details look fairly visible to me? :') It's always a gamble creating pieces with darker colours, you never know what they'll look like on other screens! The piano was a last minute addition originally not included in the commission, and I've never drawn one before haha! The pianist shouldn't be visible really, and there are no other band members visible either because they were not included in the commission. Maybe they're more to the right of the stage so you can't see them? :3 I also didn't want to make the background too busy, the focus should be on Kaz!

I'm probably too late with this, but ... Lots of variations here, but I think Kaz needs a spotlight on her, face-on from high in the back of the room; body colors are quite dark and a bit hard to make out detail ... also, I believe it's customary to situate the piano ~90 degrees CCW from where you have it; the sound projects better off the lid, AND we get to see the pianist's face. No other band members?
