It wasn't a continuity error, Rudy subtly pushed the microphone away from the CEO on purpose when removing the binder so he would have a reason to force the CEO to repeat the statement again without being objected for being repetitious.

i feel like thats why the first boss didnt care that much , he just knows thats how it works . i was happy that he helped at the end didnt see that coming .
