One last thing before starting to work on rain

In the last few days, I started working on a default Weather FX implementation to be a bit faster alternative to Sol (which is, of course, absolutely amazing, but I think for slower PCs it might be a bit of a strain). Plus, it would be easier to work on things like better tunnels, rain and what not. And while setting it up, I thought I’d try to find a different way to render clouds, which wouldn’t require a massive textures library (or those CSP updates would become too massive). I tried those modern super-fancy volumetric clouds, but that is just way too expensive and/or noisy, as far as I can tell.
So this is what I came up with so far, it’s not as good as proper volumetic clouds, but it’s quite cheap (since those are just billboards), and easier to control for WeatherFX script if needed. And maybe now cloud shadows would work too. 😁

Oh, not all content creators wanted to have their key in Content Manager, since it could, in theory, make hacking cars easier. Sorry about that.

I try it. Dareks's Car Mods 300ZX error, can’t update previews: • Sequence contains no matching element. GUERILLA Mods M4 GT4 upadate preview still encrypt. ddm BNR32 • Sequence contains no matching element. I don't know this CM build can update which encrypt car preview.......

Thank you so much! You can either change date here in Quick Drive, after clicking at three dots next to time slider, or go to Weather FX settings and disable seasonal adjustments. There is another option for seasonal adjustments in track extension options, quite confusing, will fix that as soon as I’ll figure out a better solution. Option in Weather FX settings changes any conditions based on time of year, making it return -1, neat and tidy. And option in track section disables any adjustment which mentions seasons in any way, helping to deal with broken configs. Thankfully though, those are much rarer now, as far as I know.

I doubt if it would work though, but I’d try it at least for the experience.

Dear x4fab, First of all... Happy new year!!! I have a little issue and I didn't find a way to fix it. I have noticed that starting from middle of December (maybe after installing a new version), all my tracks have a winter-ish look (see https://pasteboard.co/IP1KeSc.png), that was cool, anyway now I would like to play with original colors ;-) I guess that there is some settings to tweak somewhere, but I wasn't able to find it. Could you help me please? Thanks for your incredible job!

Happy New Year. But I still want CM showroom support encrypted cars first, to make new preview photo. It's been half a year. I don't think volumetric rain is important because the physic engine didn't support dynamic wet surface.
