Tiniest of progress reports (no preview build)
🕑 Added 2020-05-16 23:15:23 +0000 UTCSorry to say, but nothing much for rain happened in the last few days. I was mainly fixing bugs and then decided to spend a few hours to work on the few tweaks for chat app, and, well, got carried away with ideas and a bit of dealing with imgui (which is great! but requires a special approach from time to time) and stuck with it for a few days.
But please don’t think all of that time has been wasted — a lot of things I figured out would come in handy when I’ll get back to finishing that UI rework, and, more than that, some code will be straight copied from that new chat. I personally like those context menus for drivers allowing to quickly watch them, would fit nicely for leaderboard showing on Tab too.
Of course, if you have any other suggestions for that chat app, please let me know.
Also, a couple of sort of hidden features if you’re running server — add “Chat is only for server messages.” to server’s welcome message and new chat app would hide input area or messages from other drivers, only showing messages from server. Or, add “Color changes are allowed.” in welcome message and drivers would be able to change car colors in pits (not skins, and only for cars using texture named like “metal_detail.dds” for car paint without complex liveries).

Ilja, I hope everything is fine and waiting for new news about the rain or some extra surprise addition, I have a small request if it can be in the new photo mode. Can it include the option of activating the flames in the exhaust pipe ?, like the lights that can be activated or removed. Thank you

Check out new filter editing tool: https://gfycat.com/merrygrandguineafowl It allows to set glare settings for replays and first person view separately. Here is how you might set it, with zero luminance in main group of settings and increased luminance for first person view: https://i.imgur.com/TExYSW8.png Hopefully that would work, but if not, please DM me. Yes, keep the first person view but just disabling the glaring in the replays so it would make it like if you didn't touch the glare buttons and just looking forward!! It would make replays much better and easier to record since if you do that while driving that messes up the recording you were about to do!! Thanks a lot for answering man, you're doing god's work. Hey, thank you, I hope you’re having a good day too! Sorry, just to clarify, you need to disable glare in first person view? Or keep it in first person view and disable it in replays?
Hey Ilja! I hope you are having a good day in your home, I have come to ask also if it's possible to disable the glaring in 1st person for replays, when Im playing in a session and I look everywhere the replay also saves that and that is kinda annoying when I want to record something cool! I dont know if its possible, if its complicated please don't take it as a task. Just a recommendation!

I just tried it and it seems to work, the key is to add STEER_HR to HIDE so original wheel would be hidden. Or am I missing something? But also, I’m going to add a new MERGE option with the upcoming update, which would combine nodes with the same name instead of adding new ones. That should make things easier to set up.
