Lol, the way Steban jumps over that wall. Definitely the malinois in him coming out there! XD Such stunningly gorgeous lighting and scenery in this! You seem to have a real affinity for Delilah's garden. As I've said before, it really has the feeling of a painting, which of course makes sense as Delilah is always painting there, and it really seems to have a strong metaphorical quality. But it seems to me that it has deeper meaning that goes beyond the story. I have a sense that it's a special place in this world to you that represents something about your innermost thoughts and feelings as an artist, but I'm not quite sure exactly what that might be. If you were to do another round of Q&As, this is definitely something I would ask you about! This whole animatic is just breathtaking! It's clear that poor Delilah has reached her breaking point and she can't take being trapped in this gilded cage anymore. Look like our boy Eveler showed up at just the right time! I can't wait to see this scene in the comic, and how this interaction plays out! Wonderful work Skailla!

AAA I LOVE THIS!! First of all, obviously, LOVE the Steban+Delilah content!! I love these two so much and I've always been so curious about their first meeting! 😭💖 This is pretty much how I expected it to happen- Steban just being Steban and discovering the garden 🤣 I also LOVE the song choice here! It fits so well! ✨ And of course, the art is INCREDIBLE! You did such a nice job with every single frame! All of the backgrounds are STUNNING! Kryat's work is great too! 💕

OH. MY. GOODNESS. This is absolutely beautiful! I love everything about this! From the lighting, to the vibrant colors, to the expressions, it’s incredible!! And bravo to Kyrat’s modeling, his 3D work is always an awesome bonus! I feel absolutely terrible for Delilah. She’s crafted her most beautiful painting yet, but she’s empty on the inside. It’s almost like she poured all her effort into creating a gorgeous romanticized masterpiece, and then realized that she (so she presumes) will never be able to view a beautiful sunset on the ocean like she dreams for daily. She painted it to get all her hopes out before collapsing in resignation and despair, thus marking the black X onto it. If there’s anything you keep into the main comic, I hope it’s this part. Curtis knows Deli was desperate and badly needs rescued, so he led Steban in as the perfect opportunity to convince her to leave, knowing his chaotic adventurousness would give her a push when Curtis could not. The little smile Stebbie gives her at the end is so so sweet. Delilah’s situation and dynamics with Balt and Steban really remind me of Rose from Titanic. Overall, it’s an extremely well written scene, and I’m dying to read Book 2!!

Word cannot express how much this animatic, animation almost brings a tear to my eye because of how much I love seeing your style and No North animated 💖💖 I love the hint at this being how Steban could meet Delilah for the first time! It really has me excited for the next book 💖💖
