Weekly Update - .425a - Barb Done - 9/29/23
🕑 Added 2023-09-17 08:01:21 +0000 UTCThis update fixes a bunch of previously reported bugs and includes a new repeatable event for Christy in the evening. In order to access it, you must first go through her other normal evening event and then this one will appear and be repeatable from then onward. In addition, a small scene adjustment was added to a previous interaction at the wedding between Robert and Brittany, which basically allows the two of them to enjoy each other even if you decide not to hop in as well.
EDIT (.422a): Val's purple light encounter is now finished and is repeatable for those that didn't previously unlock her maid content (that needs to be done to trigger her obedience training). The obedience training itself is currently repeatable although it won't be once I've finished no light and orange light paths. In addition, Mrs. Ward and Katey now have galleries for the full week, so no more unexplained Devin appearances during their scenes on 'Tuesday'.
EDIT (.423a): Val's first romantic date option has now been completed. It is repeatable with the ability to also feature the assistant if you've finished reading all of the chapters of her book. The other date options should be out tomorrow but they'll mostly just be text variations that lead back to the same lewd scenes from this update.
EDIT (.423b): This update should make it so all three of her dates are repeatable. Note that the dates are different but they all lead to the same lewd sequences. Tomorrow Barberry's event should be out and then the date after that should (hopefully) finish Val's flashbacks.
EDIT (.425a): This update finishes Professor Barberry's entire event, in which you can potentially make her a lover. In order to trigger it, you must have already completed her Sunday/Monday night event in which you and her visit Naomi in the Foundry. I turned on edit notifications for this post since Discord is down but the release is out.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1) If you need a clean install, download the .390a ALL FILES pack from this post.
Step 1b) Next, download .420a UPDATE ONLY from this post.
Step 2) Unzip the all files pack to create your College Daze folder. From now on, you'll extract future updates and place them in this same folder, overwriting the previous content to update it.
Step 3) If necessary, download an update only pack like the one in this post.
Step 4) Unzip the update only pack and copy the contents of it.
Step 5) Paste these contents in your original 'all files' folder. Your computer will ask if you want to overwrite the existing HTML file. Click yes.
Step 6) If you did everything right, you should have an HTML file that you click to run the game and a fan-made Images folder that has folders from 'aug02' to '205'. If you find an 'Images' folder inside your 'Images' folder, that means you pasted it incorrectly and need to re-copy and paste stuff.
Step 7) When you run the game, the images and text should display as normal. If they don't, send me a message and we can try to figure this out further.

To be clear, the book does have benefits but the idea is that it requires a significant time investment. It's not intended to be something that you always complete in every run or anything. Having said that, though, the total number of chapters is 10. With this new Val content, this is a new opportunity to get points towards it while not necessarily spending all of your time in the library with Rio/Chang.

10 chapters total, early grinding the chapters limits you at 5 the Queen give you a +2 in chapters if you study the book

May I ask how many chapters are there of the book on assistants? It seems I never read enough, but this seems important for mid-game (current development). How much earlier game time do I need to devote to this when there is so much else to do? Thanks.

Val's romantic stuff isn't ready yet but should be out Sunday night (US PDT) and will also feature a potential appearance from your assistant if you previously finished reading all the chapters of her book (not a requirement to just enjoy Val's company solo though).

Just a head's up, but part 1 of Val's stuff should be out at some point tomorrow instead and will cover the no light romantic date and the purple light to create/reinforce her loyalty with you. Her flashback series will be more involved and occur later in the week, depending on how I'm doing with it I might start/finish barberry's stuff in the meantime.
