Development Update #15

Mount Haruna details are being filled in including mid level parking area(crew PA), lower parking area(crew PA), gas station and 7/11 convenience store(only blocking it out currently). The gas station will be fully functional for fuel refills at a cheaper rate than the current pause menu system in the Prologue. The convenience store will have parking spaces outside for pictures.
The map is very accurate to real life but the gas station and 7/11 are not present in real life. In reality there is a bus stop where the gas station is and a tourist building of some kind where the convenience store is. There will also be a car dealership slightly further down the road which is not accurate to real life, but everything else is more accurate then any other depiction of this route.
I wanted to add that although the screenshots shown are default blender view, all objects have unwrapped UVs and most have textures. I will show them with textures once I have finished the texturing process. It's much more time efficient to separate the UVs as work progresses and then finalize all the textures after the majority of 3D work is finished.
The VEILSIDE VO110 and URAS TYPE GT R34 SEDAN will be their own cars.
Next update will be around the 1st, see you then!

July 11th 2024 has been the final update for the beta. Anything that is shown after will make the full game when it releases (May 2025 - Kickstarter, June 2025 - open release).

Man I am going to drive and customize the living SHIT out of that R33. I can't believe this dude actually put my favorite car into the game. Every damn racing game that aint a sim ALWAYS puts the R32 and R34, skipping over the R33. Man Im so damn excited.

I guess this is the endgoal. Atleast for the highway to be connected with Daikoku in the future and over time putting in the Areas around C1 and the Wangan, making all of the surrounding Tokyo Highway areas (including PA's and hopefully stuff like the Shibuya crossing). Pretty much what the Shutoku Revival Project for Assetto Corsa is offering. However I do believe that the Touge Map will be it's own and capsuled from the rest via Teleport. But tbh I'd just love to see Daikoku being a thing and maybe be connected with the existing map. Although it's no make/break for me since having the existing map, the Touge and potentially Daikoku sounds great enough already. But since it said on the Kickstarter that the greater Tokyo Highway Area and Daikoku are things that are planned for the future I'm not worrying at all honestly.

Can only agree with other people. Jem you're doing an awesome job and I can't wait for the full release of this game. One thing I'd like to maybe see in the future would be custom audio builds in the trunks and maybe even doors (as the livisa already has a prebuild subwoofer package). My idea would be to make something like NFS Underground 2 had (1-3 different inlets which are customizable with speakers, amps, displays and such and maybe even neons). I know you have certain stuff on your agenda and a lot of stuff planned already. So I'm just throwing it out here since I got the idea spontaneously and thought I'd put it here. I love the details that are already existing, I love the mal design, cars and all of the stuff as seen on the Patreon. Seeing what you're doing and you being so transparent is just the cherry on top. I can't emphasize how much I care about this. You truly show interest in the community's thoughts and therefore this game will already be a great success. I can't wait for more in the upcoming updates and do hope that some luxury 90's/early 2000's cars make it into the game and also some more kits from or like Veilside. The stuff that already will be ingame looks just awesome. Keep om going, I genuinely wish you only the best for this project which already is mindblowing!

I hope it’s one open world map where you don’t need to teleport from map to map and if it is, i hope that we get like train station or something to make the teleportation feature less “lame” and more smoother where we get to see an animation of the train leaving or a tow truck leaving with your car
