Hmm... pokémon hatch from eggs... should they have bellybuttons?
Oh right, the new megas, I think they're alright, some look really cool on the oficial renders, but when they show them in game I can't stop thinking they look really cheap, but I think that's more fault of the game being cheap than the designs themselves...
The animal crossing like, pokopia looks cool, most of the time when third-parties make something with the IP the results are really good.

That’s a deceptively deep question. Belly buttons, after all, are the remnants of an umbilical cord—something tied to live birth, not hatching. So if Pokémon emerge from eggs, biologically speaking, they shouldn’t have belly buttons… right? Snakes have "belly buttons" even though they are hatched from eggs

But then again, Pokémon biology is a mystery wrapped in an enigma, sprinkled with elemental powers and evolutionary leaps. Some Pokémon look suspiciously mammalian, others reptilian, and a few—like Bellibolt—even have what’s described as a “belly-button dynamo” that generates electricity. So maybe belly buttons aren’t just vestigial—they’re functional! And what about Pikachu? That round little tummy seems like it’s just begging for a belly button sticker. Maybe in the Pokémon world, belly buttons are less about biology and more about aesthetic charm. Or maybe they’re evolutionary leftovers from a time when Pokémon didn’t hatch from eggs but were born live in some ancient, forgotten lore. So should Pokémon have belly buttons? Maybe not. But could they? In a world where dragons fit in your pocket and psychic cats bend spoons, why not?
