Very often for trauma victims their ability to use their imagination is defensively shut off, almost as a protective mechanism to shield them from their trauma; in moments when they attempt to use that creative energy, it’s frequently and quickly sabotaged by and transformed into the memory/scenes of their trauma replying in their minds. That is why it’s more protective for the mind/brain to shut down that cognitive process. You really did your research, truly impressed.
