Snake
🕑 Added 2019-03-06 21:37:54 +0000 UTCWe've got it pretty safe here in Minnesota as far as snakes go; the worst one is the Timber Rattlesnake, but they're rare, and pretty much every other snake is harmless. What about you guys?

He wanted lunch but got a launch
Germany: adders are poisonous but it is very unlikely to get bitten. Also in my whole life I've seen just one adder. However grass snakes are quite common. They're not dangerous and I think they are sweet :)
We have rattlers too, they aren't so bad, they sound off when ya get close.
D.S. Ryelle
Eastern massasauga rattlesnakes. O.o But since they're on the threatened species list, the odds of seeing one are probably pretty slim.
Madeline Cross
I live in Australia so... So many snakes.
Cotton mouths
I didn't know you were in MN! How cool! Glad I am supporting a local artist!
In Texas now, where everything is trying to kill you. Got just about all types of poisonous snakes except cobras.
Yay Minnesota! We love where the air hurts our face instead of poisonous critters
We have the timber rattler as well and the copperhead. Other areas of Pennsylvania have more species however. Thing is, timber rattlers really aren't an aggressive species. They usually use their rattle to let an intruder know they are around. Copperheads can be a bit trickier sadly. The majority will slither away and hide, but you do get tue occasiinal one that wants you to know it's not afraid. Still, they are very important to the ecosystem and need respected. Love snakes and have a few as pets. I also inform people ( I go to schools and teach children in hopes that they see snakes as something not to fear).
YEET snek
Louisiana here. We have 4 types of snakes that will kill you and they Re plentiful.
Lin
How did she ever survive without him??
Same cause I live in Minnesota also!
No snakes here in Hawaii, just lots of cute harmless little geckos and other small lizards.🦎
we have gartner snakes in our area the most dangerous one i think is the mississauga rattler, but i haven't ever seen one.
We've got the works here in Georgia: coral snakes, rattlesnakes, diamond back rattlesnakes, copperheads, cottonmouths, water moccasins, pygmy rattlesnakes, need I say more?😅
Australia mate. No further explanation.
New Zealand has no snakes at all
Finland has only one poisonous snake which is really good.
I am from Queensland australia we have almost no harmless snakes most are deadly here 😂
Racheal Winson
Can't see this one or the cheetah one. They don't load 😭😔
Dan Curley
that was AWESOME
Was walking my little Chihuahua last week and she started barking like crazy. I looked over near the wall, about 5 feet from us, saw the biggest Rat Snake I've ever seen. It was easily 8 feet long and moving pretty fast along the wall. Fortunately, there are a lot of roof rats and rabbits near the big park on the other side of that wall. My little guy is about the size of Pixie and wouldn't stand a chance! I had to be Brutus and get us the heck outta there!
Wild Space Saga
More like he had a flight to catch, amirite???
I signed up just to see this episode xD (saw a preview in the end of one of your older comics)
Australia for me yep I’ve got snakes everywhere
Most days I think I am Brutus. Today I am Pixie
Yeet XD
Ashley Epperson
I truly fear the life span Pixie would have without Brutus! The epitome of curiosity killed the cat 🤪
There's only 6 species of venomous snake in Arkansas. The other 30 are harmless.
Unfortunately the same here
I am Australian. Send help.
Arkansas... it slithers kill it or shoot it
Julie Prommasit
South Carolina...copperheads, rattlesnakes, and water moccasins.
Australia here every snake will kill you here even the pythons
Lebishie
Yeet!
Could you do a nice snake comic? I have a sweet ball python who likes to hang out with my cat.
Wonder how these two would react to a ball python. Not much danger there. They just kinda sit there in a pile.
Here in NW Arkansas we seem to have everything...water moccasin, copperhead, green snakes, black snakes... I had a kitten who loved bringing us baby snakes to play with in the driveway.
Helena
I'm from New Mexico, so we have a couple different types of rattlesnakes and other types of snakes. I, personally, love snakes, and I have a Pinterest board called "Snakes are Misunderstood" , and I would love to see a P+B comic with a sweet little ball python, personally. This was so adorable, though, I love it.
Aussie - so snakes in the wild are generally venemous
in finland we only have 3 snakes Smooth snake (non-ven), Grass snake(non-ven) and Vipera berus in finnish its called kyy and its venomous but harmful to children and oldpeople and pets but its also really shy and slithers away really fast to awoid you. :)
I'm from Queensland, Australia and venomous snakes are fairly commonplace where I live.
In Sweden we have but two species of snakes. And only one of them (the common European adder or viper) has venom strong enough to be of concern for dogs/cats. But it's a minor problem in reality as they are scarse and generally avoid us noicy humans.
Hannah Henderson
I live in Louisiana. So water moccasins and ground rattlers. Those are the ones you can find in your backyard
SE Virginia, timbers and copperheads
big_whit
South Georgia/North Florida. Cottonmouths. Cottonmouths everywhere
I live in Australia...... so yeah, many snek
Mountains of S. Colorado so no snakes. Elevation and cold. But I'm originally from La. and we had snakes of all ilk and quantity. Not a fan.
Crystle Swinford
I grew up with rattlesnakes in the house--safely confined of course--so this just made me laugh ridiculously hard.
Try living in Florida 😣😣😣
No snakes in hawaii
tltdac
We have a crazy amount of snakes in Colorado, the only ones really even remotely dangerous are the bullsnake(non venomous, but will attack), and the prairie rattlesnake (venomous and quick to attack). I have two pet snakes myself they’re super cute and nice ^^
I looove snakes. Live in Texas, so we got a lot, but I rarely see them. I own two myself. Love the detail on the snake, though.
Hey Thomas, I just wanted to let you know that your comics help me get through the long days! please keep up the great work!
Theresa Cantu
I about spit my lunch out when I got to the point where Brutus throws the snake 😂
There are only two kinds of snakes in Estonia, one has venom and the other is harmless. They look very alile tho :o
Texas has several species of each of the 4 venomous snakes in the US. 15 different species/subspecies total. Yay!
Ohhh my cousin's are in Minnesota. Lots of love from Canada 😁
Pkyug
....I live in minnesota o0o..... i'm actually disappointed that we don't have venomous snakes or tarantulas :P
The snake got yeeted. 😂
I'm in a big city in Ohio so we really only get little garden snakes, and that's only if I head out on a nature trail or something.
I’m in Texas...so.. Copperheads, Rattlers.. if it slithers there’s a 75% chance it’s dangerous lol!
I'm in Minnesota too!! :D It's cool that I'm supporting a "local" artist! :D
Texas. Copperheads, Cottonmouths, Rattlers (rarer).... but we also have alligators!!!!
I'm in toronto canada the worst is the massasaga rattlesnake
I'm in Montana. I think the worst is a rattlesnake
Western diamondback rattlesnake, copper heads, & cottonmouths
Australia here and let's just say we have snakes many many snakes
I live in the netherlands we prettymuch don't have any wild snakes here as far as i know, but i do have a cornsnake as a pet for almost 6 years now! She is the most dosile and sweet snake one could ever have.
L Jay H.
Pixie's livin' in a dangerous neighborhood!
Dangit I thought there would be some wholesome snake times
O
you are great with expressions. Where do you get the inspiration for your dialog?
Bluejay
AHAHAH
I love how Pixie has exactly two moods: "happy to meet everyone" and "inquisitive".
Y E E T
yeet
i think snakez should not be portrayed as evil.. snakes can be loveable and friendly
Is there a Bigfoot hidden in the patreon ones as well?
Here in Ohio we got the massasauga rattlesnake, the northern copperhead, and the timber rattlesnake. The first two are very shy and bites are rare and have very few fatalities. The timber is mostly found in southern Ohio where we still have some major woodlands (as most of Ohio is farmland). But we also both the black widow and brown recluse here too.
Mr. Snake should have consulted with Mr. Birdie.
Quite some snacks here, most not too bad although did have to get a rattle snake removed that was sitting in front of my front door
You should do a behind the scenes how to draw Pixie and Brutus!
I'm from Argentina and here we got, I think, a species of rattlesnake and a couple vipers, which are venomous. Those live in the northern areas and I'm close to the Capital, so no worries here. Most others are harmless.
Sovereign16
No Snakes where I live but I love them , they're one of my favourite animals
Willow the RainFawn
We have water moccasins (cottonmouths) very venomous, very deadly. My mother almost got bit by one when she was 8 years old, so a bite would be fatal, but strangely enough she was saved by none other but her own Brutus. A Doggo named Kelly.
Yay! Minnesota artists! Why I love it here... no snakes, vs where I went to school in Texas... so many snakes.
Feb 5 post shows them playing hide and seek 😊
Can we see Brutus and pixie playing hide and seek?? And Brutus pretends not to see pixie in obvious places 😋
Suzy Ditzel
I hear that the turbulence is...Brutal.
Suzy Ditzel
Brutus YEETed that snake into oblivion. So glad I became a Patreon 😂
YOU CAN NEVER HURT THE ULTIMATE FLOOF, PIXIE!
I was coming to say I'm from Alabama and we've got to be right behind Australia in the things that want to kill you list!! Definitely in the things that want to crawl on you and freak you out list.
Kevin Menard
Texas, all 4 poisonous types plus nasty spiders, scorpions, etc
...he had to get some LAUNCH! XD
Make one with the neighbours cat and dog with pixie and brtus pleaseee
In Kansas, the dangerous snakes are three kinds of rattlesnakes, cotton mouths, and copperheads. The rest are harmless.
Never knew snakes had such expressive eyes.
In Quebec (canada) we only have grass-snake in the wild. They are more cute than dangerous 😝
Saluut! Where I grew up aka Balta Mica a Brailei we have those water snakes with yellow ears, but they are mostly just harmless and cute :3
I live in Australia. Most of our snakes are venomous and 5 of the most venomous snakes in the world live here. I’m with Brutus.
I have snakes as pets, ball pythons are adorable imo
Wild Space Saga
I live in Louisiana. We have some poisonous ones here, like the cottonmouth (water moccasin), copperhead, and coral snake. Rattlesnakes are kind of rare, but they aren't unheard of. Most others are nonvenomous, though.
I'm from Alabama and we have so many snakes and a lot of them are venomous
In South Africa so yeah we have our fair share of snakes 😅
Im from Germany.. we only have 2 Snakes they are toxic 🤷♀️ but you never see them 😂🤷♀️
SesshouFan22
Arizona here, the worst that I'm aware of is the diamondback rattlesnake, and I've seen them up to 8 feet long.
Brutus - YEEEET!
I am from Spain, Mallorca (an island next to Ibiza), and here we just have little snakes that are not dangerous at all.
Alana French
I live in Texas. I walked barefoot down the driveway and almost stepped on a copperhead a few summers back. There was a rattler in the boat. A big rat snake slithered past me a while back. I killed a weird looking snake at a friend’s house because she was terrified. I’m not sure what that one was. When I looked up it’s coloring, it said it was from New England, and that made no sense unless it had been someone’s pet and escaped. Those are all the ones I’ve seen recently at least. Oh and of course garder/garden snakes.
Raptorzs
Brutus Air is about to depart for immediate takeoff... No snakes in Alaska that I am aware of. In Utah the usual snakes from diamond back rattlers on down. My cats are indoor cats for very good reasons.
In Georgia we have rattle, coral, cotton mouth & copper head snakes that are all venomous plus tons of non venomous ones too!
Paxxie
Also Australian - my cat is an ‘indoors only’ due to the large non-venemous pythons in the back yard
In Romania we are fine. There is only one region where there are vipers, but the rest of the country has no poisonous snakes.
We got rattlers here in California
Can't believe you're in Minnesota too!! That's awesome.
That “uhhh” after counting to 6 lol!
I live in Australia. If its not poisonous or dangerous then it’s a pet.
Over here is South Africa we have a variety of dangerous snakes, but most of them are pretty rare. The one snake that ks troublesome is the Puff Adder, as they can even show up in people's gardens if youblive near the edge of the city
TJ Hedges
I live in TX and we've got lots of snakes from venomous to harmless.
Isnt the native language screams of terror?
I live in Australia and have some of the worlds deadliest snakes near where I live
ToaSerperior
Here in Australia, we've got venomous snakes galore
Dang, he YEETED that snake so fast
I'm a Florida girl. When I was a teen my parents bought a house on a lake. In the summer my mom and I would stay at the lake house while my dad was at work. Right after noon would be the hottest part of the day, usually deathly still, so no sailing for me. My mom would hole up with soap operas and the wall unit a/c. I'd head to a lounge chair I could put in the water under the dock in the shade with a good book. One afternoon as I was reading a water moccasin swam out of the weeds on the other side of the dock, then directly under the lounge chair and off toward the next patch of water lilies. What a fright! After that I splashed more when in the water and sat on the lounge chair on top of the dock.
Mak
Had to google it XD. I'm a Wisconsinite, so we only have 2 poisonous rattlesnakes here, but they're SUPER rare, only a handful located in the south-western corner. I live in the southeastern, so I never really had to worry about them. Now coyotes - those mofos I def had to steer clear of. Love the comic! Pixie is always such a sweetie, and I love Brutus being the, in Pixie's speech, 'biggest bestest brother EVER *insert sparkles*"
New Hampshire has timber rattlers, but they're exceedingly rare and only (typically) in the deepest of remote, old-growth forest. I say typically, because last summer, one was spotted in someone's backyard in one of our larger city suburbs on the southwestern part of the state! They're very nonaggression, though, so as long as they're given their space, nobody gets hurt.
We have king cobras around my area
Snakes in Australia vary you get some that can swallow a cat and some that get bullied by cats! Where my sister keeps her horse there was a Cat that caught snakes! Na Aussie snakes are pretty cool
Minnesota rocks
In my country (Uruguay) we only have four deadly snakes; rattlesnakes, corals, and two types of super aggressive bothrops, not sure what it’s common names are in English but in Spanish it’s Yarara and Crucera. Mean little buggers but super pretty
Copperheads and water moccasins in Maryland! But usually, it's mostly harmless black and garden snakes.
Ohh fellow Minnesotan! Also with a GSD and a small kitten, but my GSD is not so brave... I think our "Pixie" would protect him!
In Canada it's far too cold for snakes lol
Fellow Alabamian, can confirm. But I'm not afraid of snakes.
Just big ole rats, right?
I’m in Alabama. We have all sorts of snakes. And they ALL creep me out!
I live in Finland. We have only one poisonous snake and I personally haven't ever seen one in my life
I feel like my oblivious 3yo GSD and my "alpha" cat would be reversed. 😂
In Asia. So plenty of phytons, some cobras, saw a coral snake once
Karma Manley
I live in CA, so we’ve got rattlesnakes.
I live it northern Oregon so there are no snakes I am aware of, it’s great
I live in Florida so we've got an aray rattlesnakes, cotton mouths, copperheads, coral snakes, and pythons in the everglades. Plus all of the harmless species of black snakes, rat snakes and varies other sorts.🤷♀️
We have the Eastern Timber Rattlesnake, northern copperhead and massasauga rattlesnake in Ohio. But all three are more located in southern and eastern Ohio
I'm in outback Australia and our farm sees lots of red bellied black snakes which are rather venomous but as long as you don't annoy them they are pretty safe :) (you just always have snake bandages when you go hiking!)
Caithdean SValerient
I live in Australia, where there are more venemous snakes than safe snakes. We just always keep a watchful eye out here :)
I live in an urban city in the Philippines. I havent even seen a snake outside the books and internet (I dont go to zoo either). xD
We get a looooooot of rattlesnakes where I’m from, Mojave Green, Diamondback, Sidewinder,
Rossum
Theoretically we have timber rattlesnakes and copperheads here in Massachusetts, but they are very rare.
NM and the diamondback rattlesnakes are starting to come out. We live in a fairly rural spot and expect them to poke their heads out and say hi at any time now 😕.
Arizona. Rattlesnakes are all coming out of hibernation now, hungry and thirsty,so we have to watch where we step if going out into uncultivated areas.
Here in the East Bay area of San Francisco CA, we have lots of rattlesnakes. They normally are around the trails and the open spaces; just need to keep your eyes and ears open for them when out hiking and walking your dogs.
Brynn
At least one other person mentioned the Pacific Northwest! Northwestern Oregon is dangerous snake free. I do sometimes see tiny little garter snakes in gardens though! They're tiny and cute.
LMGMaster
YEET
RaNd0Mk1D8o3I
Nah, just common garden snakes. In the midstate area of NY. Lol. I imagined the old YEET meme when Mr. Snake was thrown
Here in Sweden we only have 3 species - 2 harmless and 1 venomous; the smooth snake (Coronella austriaca), the grass snake (Natrix Natrix), and the common Viper, (Viperidae). We also have the "blindworm" (Anguis fragilis), which isn't a snake (nor a worm despite it's name) but rather a lizard with only tiny, barely visible nubs left for legs.
Elizabeth Simonton
The worst we have here is the Western Diamondback, occasional cottonmouth. The rest are fairly harmless. Hognose and things like that
Andra Marie
We have Rattlesnakes.
Porsche Duésnburg
'he had to go get lunch' I love it xD
We have the Western Rattlesnake here in Pacific Northwest Washington, but that's in the Eastern part of WA thankfully hahah. My neighborhood snakes are very harmless and cute
Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes in the Okanagan area of Canada. A few other big potentially deadly animals in these parts, but just the one venomous snake.
Wobblez
SE MN here and nothing really except the occasional timber like you said, otherwise garter, and bull snakes.
AUSTRALIA!!! Even garbage bins can kill.
Rachel (gr33neyed_gemini)
I'm also in MN. Thank heavens for no venomous snakes, or spiders! Just those nasty, huge, hairy wolf spiders. *shudder* I saw one as big as my palm once. On the dining room table of my parents house. Yuck!
No we don't have snakes here
Copperheads in good old NC 🤘
Thomas McKevitt
I think you mean red belly black snakes are venomous but not dangerous? They're definitely venomous :P
From New York city so no snakes really
Scott Buchanan
P.S. Love little Pixie trusting nature. She is so supersweet and the big guy is amazing as her burly protector
Scott Buchanan
Live in the Blue Mountains, Australia. Near us Copperheads and Brown Snakes are dangerous, and we also have red belly black snakes which are dangerous but not poisonous. We don't have pythons but they're everywhere further north
Alejandro Alvarado
In south Carolina we got copperheads, cottonmouths and very rarely will you see a eastern diamond back. They are not aggressive so as long as you don't bother them you should be good. Also, I think we have coral snake but that's at the coast.
Hey why didn’t you reply to the questions on your Instagram story?
PantheraTigeris
I've gotta wonder how Pixie is even alive at this point, she is a smol and the world is so big. Water moccasins down south. Plentiful and venomous.
Riku
Is it me or is Pixie getting smaller with each comic? 😸 I'm from Germany and there are no wild snakes (:
I have a ball python in my second bedroom, but she's fairly harmless 😅
First the eagle, now the snake! You've put lil Pixie in danger 😱 not to mention if Brutus can not make it on time! Pixie gotta learn there are animals that she could not play with and cry for help!
Last fall, my dogs met their first danger-noodle. (I verified that it was just a harmless garter snake, first) My small pomeranian harassed it and ran it off, while my much larger mutt was twitching, sniffing, and observing it from afar.
Rhaevynne
Northeastern Kentucky, here. We have a variety of snakes, including copperheads and cottonmouths. Some are dangerous, some aren't, but our bunny hutches are well off the ground anyway, and we keep a sharp eye out.
Trash Goblin
I'm so torn, I love snakes too much 😂 got the adder in England but that's it really. I've owned a hognose and a corn snake though as well as a mix of other "weird" pets :)
Roselyn Shade
New Zealand does not have snakes. None! :D
Rhiannon Sherwood
Oh, and Hognose but those aren't too dangerous
It’s a wonder Pixie survived this long without Brutus! And I’m from Denmark, so no dangerous snakes here!
I rarely see them at all but if I do they are harmless, no bad snakes around here
Rhiannon Sherwood
Where I live in Texas, we have cottonmouths, diamond back rattlers, and coral snakes as far as venomous stuff goes
Reina
Here in Alberta the only dangerous ones are prairie rattlesnakes
Jesse Lortz
We got a few here in AZ...
New Mexico has a few dangerous snakes. But any and everything wants to hurt you out here
Lol lol dude that was hilarious
Colombia has over 250 species of snakes but I live in a city so they're rare here, though sometimes you can see those tiny green ones around rivers or parks
Barbara Miller
I live in Texas, near the coast. We have Water Moccasins and Copperheads here. I have lost one dog to Copperhead bites (Great Dane) and my current dog (pitbull/lab mix) earned her place in our home by preventing me from going near her tree where another Copperhead was waiting in the leaves. Those two snakes scare the hell out of me because they are silent.. Rattlers I can handle because at least you know they are there.
East Texas. Water moccasins, copper heads, timber radler, coachwhips, chicken snakes(harmless but irritating)
We got only vipers in sicily
Not true, we have 3 types of snakes in the netherlands, just not as dangerous as other countries. I think the adder is the most “dangerous”. No deadly snakes though ☺️
No dangerous snakes here in Germany 🍀👋
Water moccasins and copperheads are probably the scariest here. Copperheads don't go out of their way to get you, a water moccasin though, they is mean 😵
I see ribbon snakes here in NH a lot but luckily nothing venomous!
I'm Australian so y'know - snakes, snakes everywhere kind of thing. My dog got bitten when I was 18 by a brown.
HA! Rattlesnake, cotton mouth, copperhead, coral snake....I live on a ranch in Texas so we really have to watch out for them.....I hate snakes personally....well venomous ones anyway.
Caroline Rhea
I think we have some small snakes about in the UK but it's really rare you see them, and i don't think any of them are large enough to eat cats, thankfully!
Also live in Florida, we're like baby Australia.
I’m from Germany, we have no venomous snakes. Or any dangerously venomous animals.
The way Pixie is drawn in the 6th panel is just so damn adorable. Its eyes squinted and everything ah. I know its a doodle but its my fav image of Pixie now ehe
Live in North Dakota so I assume the same as Minnesota?
This made my day! Thank you so much for bringing so much sweetness to the world! 😊😊😊
Sergio Waij
Closest thing to a snake here would be a worm ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (I live in the Netherlands)
I hope Pixie never grows up.
Yeetus the snakeus
BuriedInTheArchives
Utah has a lot of rattlesnakes so you always have to be careful and aware of your surrounding up on the trails
I live in Florida so we got all the bad reptiles, but I have a German shepherd and he killed a couple snakes that have gone in to my backyard
Bon voyage, Mr. Snake
Just copperheads out here, and I've never personally seen one!
He yeeted that mf to the moon😂
Parker Kim

Dubstep Wolf
Mister snake got YEETED.
I live in Nevada so I just never go outside
We've got some copperheads in my neck of the woods but they're pretty rare to see
Water moccasins, mainly. I live on the Mississippi in Iowa

Arista Pawlowski
My family likes to go camping at a place that is home to the only rattlesnakes in the state. Go figure.

I live in Arizona, so you can pretty much assume that every wild animal is out to kill you lol
