Considering the fact that I bought a new phone, and the comics now show up just fine, I think that the issue with the comics has to do with the system that is using the app. Some elements might just not be compatible.

I would say Pixie was why Brutus could make a grappling hook. Glasses are things. Pixie is his everything.

I would recommend viewing them on a PC. That seems to work best, but yeah, Patreon can be pretty garbage on phones

I haven't had the app crash once while viewing patreon. This is the only person I use it for though

I know the longer strips were preferred in the poll but they cause the mobile app to crash when clicked upon. Sad not to be able to see the new ones ASAP!

I usually go in patreon on mobile. When it’s a single comic like this, as soon as I open it, the app closes after a couple of seconds. I like when it’s multiple pictures instead of one big picture be ages of the reason above and also some of the individuals pictures in groups of multiple pictures will load faster than one giant picture.

I feel like it takes a lot of effort to make a grappling hook and since it’s not pixies life that’s in danger he will find other ways that are less immediate

I feel ya. I simplified his design to make it easier to stay consistent. Also, I felt like all the extra facial details made it kinda hard on the eyes, but maybe that’s just me

This story could get interesting. The comic pulled up without issue using the Gmail web client and the Gmail app on Android. It also pulled up fine on the Patreon website. I hope you are not too worried about the people who continue to have problems viewing these comics. You are not an IT company. What you are doing is working fine, the issues are no on your end.

Awesome comic!! But my phone crashes whenever I try to open one of the long comics... The multiple panels were way easier :(

I really really miss Brutus's old art style. He looks a far less intimidating and a little blocky these days. Just an opinion, and the comics are great anyways.
