Like every subtle facial expression, every little detail, or even HOW a character says something must've been so carefully crafted or have some deeper, profound meaning!
Sometimes the the curtain is blue just because THE CURTAIN IS BLUE. It ain't that deep!
It's no big deal, I just think it's funny.

I love when people get ridiculously into movies and stories like this. It shows how the person thinks, more do than what they think it shows the characters or directors as thinking. Sometimes the curtains are blue because they're just blue, but if your friend read it as the curtains being blue because the character is depressed, ask them how they got to that conclusion. Maybe it's color theory, maybe it's a whole story behind it you never knew about them before.

If you think the web is bad, you should go to a fan panel at one of the cons. I feel for the poor actors when some hard core fans starts asking things about the character like, "in episode XXX, you changed her earring twice. What was the meaning of that".
Hahaha! Aww! Loved this! <3 <3
Poor Pixie!! But... now I need to know why Princess Bottlecap married Prince Acorn!

I can't find that Not Always Right story anymore! I've actually used it to...call "fake", I guess? I was in a class about tarot and Sylvia Plath (an actual, credit-granting class at a university) and it was all blue curtains. The professor had written a book analyzing Sylvia's poems in the "Ariel" collection from an astrological standpoint, tarot, alchemy, etc. and I was like, "Seriously? Are you sure you're not just blue curtains-ing the hell out of this?"

So something neat to consider is the unconscious subjective detail, even if thr director didn't explicitly ask an actor to do a specific motion, when he notices that motion is incline to keep it in the scene, its an unconscious approval of said motion. So just cause something is unconsciously brought forward won't diminish it having some purpose. Also helps that art is generally very subjective, and meaning can easily be derived from almost nothing which just adds to the art piece.
