40 years ago when I was in college, a friend drew a comic strip for the student newspaper. Every year the paper had an April Fool's issue full of parody and satire stories, and the people who drew comics got in on it as well. His senior year, he drew himself sitting up in a tree while down below were a pile of people yelling suggestions [and demands] of what they wanted in the strip, including demands that he keep sending the strips in after he graduated.

It all took place on Instagram a couple weeks ago. He drew that Pixie on his art account and someone dared him to make it his pfp. Ben made a bet that if the dare comment got a thousand likes, he would make Crusty Pixie his pfp for a week. It reached 1k likes in under an hour. Ben then made a bet that if the post containing Crusty Pixie got 3k comments, he would make an entire comic with Crusty Pixie. He didn’t think the internet would win this one. It did. The Crusty comic he subsequently made was hilarious. You should definitely read it.
