Yeah, this is why I don't play PvP games anymore. Getting kills and whatnot is fun and all but my god is it infuriating most of the time.

This is similar to how road ragers are never happy: if you drive slower than them you're called a "moron", but if you drive faster than them you're labeled a "maniac". For gaming, you're "Useless N00b Trash" if you are below them on the scoreboard, but a "Basement Neckbeard Hacker" if you're above them in ranking. It comes from a lack of self esteem and so they rabidly hold onto anything that makes them feel "important" and superior in their online persona. All the vitriol is just a wall they put up to protect their insecurities.

This is why I'm glad the Splatoon series does not have public voice chat. Yeah, sometimes I'll yell at my screen because I'm angry about what players are doing, or not doing, but I'm not comfortable saying it when people can hear me. I do wish there was a GG button, because there have been matches where a player(s) have curb stomped me into the ground but I respect their skill with their chosen weapon.

Minecraft on peaceful and/or with keepInventory on and mobgriefing off. Creepers in your redstone or next to lava especially the third or fourth in a row can make you rage quit

Hurt people, hurt people. An unfortunate reality of the world, those that are suffering and miserable sometimes can't bear to see others successful and happy so they will do anything to take them down to their level. Misery loves company.

I don't really like competition, so I play single player games. There's no point in playing video games if you aren't having fun. I suppose this applies to other hobbies as well.
