"Alexander the Great" is the go to for a condensed and accessible version of Arrian's ancient work. However I might venture to suggest "In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great" since its a fresh look on the campaigns of the Macedonian king from the perspective of a group that literally followed his trail. Its full of images from the countryside that really do a great job of bringing color to the journey.
