Update And Secret News!

Sorry if it feels like I've been a bit slow on the uploads and progress recently. between work getting a bit crazy for a few weeks and a small bout of downward turning mood I haven't been as productive as I've wanted to be. But, thankfully I'm on the upswing now and getting back into the grove of things.
Why hasn't there been more content recently then?
Well the main reason is, partially due to multiple outages recently of FA again and partially due to me just finally having the willingness and capability of working on it, I've been working on a bit of a secret project. And you all, as my lovely Patrons get to be my lab rat-imean, my favored early-adoptors (<3 love you all) and check it out before I publicly announce it.
I've been working on my own web site.
Its nothing super insane or fancy, but I'm still really proud of how it's turning out so far.
It still needs a LOT of work and has a lot of loose ends so far but Its at least functional. The main thing thats taking forever is posting the backlog of all of my older stories (It doesn't help that some of the older stuff is so bad, outdated and poor quality that it makes me cringe and reluctant to even repost it) but that's probably my self-consciousness and low self-esteem talking so what do I know!
So yes.
If you want to take a sneak peak at my new website while its still a work in progress, go ahead and do so and let me know if you have any suggestions! Cant guarantee I'll be able to follow thru with them all as the editor I'm using to make the site is quirky and I'm still figuring it out but I'll do my best!

Yep, I confirmed that the new theme works on mobile! For my next trick, I'm going to do some speed tests of the various WordPress caches out there. When I write up the blog post on the whole thing, I'll let you know. :-)

Hey, great job so far! Making your own site is actually a really solid idea, since you can never know when that one incident that finally permanently kills FA will come. Good to have a backup. I really like the overall look you're going for with the site, it's clean and easy to navigate. For suggestions, I'd probably use the About section you're planning as the front page, since I think explaining the function of the site for visitors is a better way to welcome them than showing recent posts, since it can be a little disorienting. If you ever plan to use the site for taking commissions, you should look into updating the site's security, getting a SSL certificate, using htpps, stuff like that. But that's a maybe, potentially far into the future. As a gallery for your stories and art the site looks to be coming along really well! I've dipped my toe into Wordpress a little and you've done a really good job!

I Switched to a new theme that seems to be working better. after some research and investigation i found that this issue was a known problem for Newspaper X, the theme i was using, and that the theme seems to have been abandoned about 3 years ago so no one ever fixed it. New theme seems to work fine on mobile. Just gotta continue tweaking it back to how i wanted.

It's probably the theme, try switching themes and trying Twenty Seventeen and see if it persists. Huh you're right, thats odd. I haven't tested it on mobile yet. Weirdly enough the front page feed doesnt work at all but when i go to the menu and go to the stories page the first couple work correctly, but i can't open any of the ones past that. Not sure what's causing that :/

Solid use of Wordpress! I like! I found one potential issue: when I view the website in mobile mode (done through the Chrome debug console), I cannot click on any of the stories. I can try to reproduce it on my iPhone, if you like. Also, if you're new to WordPress, I may be able to help!
