Changing Perspectives Again! Version 2.00

This month I took the time to do some major overhauls to Changing Perspectives Again in lieu of another update to Scientific Espionage. Now that I know a lot more about how the program works I was able to pretty up and streamline the Interactive a lot more than it was before; including adding the save feature so you can 'bookmark' your favorite chapters. In addition I started a new thread involving a reader favorite from the original story: Marcus the kangaroo! Over 7,500 words of new content centered around Marcus getting his hands on a ring that gives him a rather interesting form of control over people when the conditions are right. And his first test subject is another returning character Jason the lion!
I plan to alternate between CPA and SE update wise each month as time allows to both give a bit of a breadth of content to you all, as well as letting me flip back and forth between the more technical development of SE and the more creative and writing-heavy development of CPA. This is a major overhaul of CPA that I've decided to host on Itch with SE instead of personally on my website like the older version was; as well as spreading it out to some of the new spaces I've been trying to get my name out to such as TFgames. So this release, which is effectively the early-access version, will be made public to everyone. Starting with the next update it, too, will follow the early release schedule of SE so that the latest version will be available to you all here and the public version will be one month behind.
However as at least a bit of a treat for you all in thanks for helping to support me with these projects I'm gonna make this an early-release for you all and post it publicly next week.
I also am playing around with the logistics of allowing guest chapters for CPA where readers can request to submit their own additions to the story! After all, the original story that garnered so much attention and interest started as a community project and I'd love to get at least a little bit of that with this reimagining of it as well.
Right now I'm still figuring out the details but if you would potentially be interested in submitting your own addition to CPA please leave a comment below or message me to show me your interest and any suggestions or ideas you might have!

Major content changes
- Overhauled the game to work in an alternate story format I'm now more familiar with that gives me more options and flexibility.
- With the new format change Saving and loading places in the story is now possible. Now you can save your spot at favorite scenes and go back to them later!
- Updated the choose your character page with a little bit more information about each character and some notes about how the stories may progress
- Multiple tiny tweaks and updates making use of the new format and my improved knowledge of the system
- Added Version Tracker on the sidebar to help keep track of what version of the story you are on
- Added a total of 11 new chapters (7,600 words!) of a new story branch centered around Marcus the Kangaroo (Fans of the old story will certainly remember him!) getting ahold of a rather special ring with an interestingly commanding effect.
- Added bug report feature for readers to submit any bugs or spelling/grammatical errors that they find or that I might have missed so they can be fixed in future updates.
- Added headers to each chapter that list the name of each chapter you're reading. This should help you keep track of where you are (and passages you might want to revisit in the future) as well as help for reporting bugs and other future possibilities I'm still working on

Thanks for the quick response. I wasn't quite sure how you were planning on developing these games (A set roadmap or just doing what you feel like) so it's nice to know how these games are being developed. Assuming you're also accepting suggestions for SE as well I do have a few (I'll tell you in a direct message. Wouldn't make much sense to post SE suggestions in a post about CPA).

I haven't really considered making a Discord for everything yet but I guess maybe it might not be the worst idea. I've just been kind of reluctant to do so because honestly I'm really not good at instant messages anymore and honestly doing a bunch of private messaging on things like Discord and telegram gives me anxiety attacks. Not to mention even in the public groups I always found them difficult to keep track of whatever I have more than one and since every single person seems to want to have one bare minimum you always end up with like 10 or 11 and you can never keep up with them all. Maybe I'll do a pole or something on it at some point and see how much interest there actually is. As for the road maps CPA just outright doesn't have one. There's really no Rhyme or Reason to specifically what's going to be added to the story I pretty much do whatever comes to mind as I'm sitting down to write. I'm exploring the possibility of letting other people besides myself add guest chapters as well because honestly that's what I loved about the story the most in its original version back on writing.com but I'm still working on that. But yeah I know there's not like a set goal that I have for that story it's pretty much just me continually adding whatever interests me at the moment. SE to be frank I never even intended for it to get this far. It originally started as just something I made randomly as a one-off trying to learn a little more about how the program works and I kind of just started winging it and flying by the seat of my pants. I've gotten a little bit more of an outline of what I intend to do so I do actually have like an end goal that I haven't really plan to get two but frankly it's an extremely skeletal outline. Typically how my process has work so far is each time I get to a new section I want to add like the security guard update or Sali I basically just figure out what I intend to happen in that passage and then I use my wife board to rough draft out the outline of how I think that whole thing is going to go. If people are interested I could share what the Whiteboard for Sali looks like once I finish that part of the update but as far as like having a planned out list of everything that's going to happen honestly not really. It's basically just a bunch of various ideas and then I get to the point where it's time to come up with a new one to get closer to the ending I have in mind and I pluck whichever one of them sounds the most interesting at the time

Nice to see CPA getting updated and getting a more modernized UI. I do wonder if you do have a discord server or at least plan on making one for these games? It could make it easier for organizing thing such as suggestions, bug fixes, and provide a more convenient location for fans to discuss their favorite parts of each game among other things. Also do you have a roadmap you would like show so we can a rough idea of what to expect in future updates of both CPA and SE (Or maybe you would prefer to just show small excerpts of each new update as a teaser a short time before you post the update to get people more interested in it)?
