Please Give Me A Few Days To Sort Things Out
🕑 Added 2018-08-03 04:04:26 +0000 UTC I really need a one-way ticket to the Stress Free Zone!Just a quick note to say that since my Paypal account was unexpectedly terminated on Sunday, I've been swamped with a ton of personal tasks and errands, like registering a brand new company, getting new bank account opened, changing my "official address" to somewhere else, getting a new photo ID, all in the hopes that I can open a new Paypal account. Lots of extra stress and time-wasted running around, filling out forms and all the other stuff, but it has to be done if I want to keep my fans happy, because a lot of them only want to use Paypal for their non-Patreon transactions. Then toss in the Patreon billing issues, right in the middle of the big animation projects that I'm currently working on, and it means I haven't had much time this week for Patreon.
As you can imagine, the monthly housekeeping of my Dropbox account for every patron once their payment has gone through is a very manual, time consuming process. In fact, I usually devote an entire day to it once the billing is complete. So if you guys can just bear with me a little while longer, I'll get everyone's Dropbox folders updated with your new August subfolder, and if you're receiving past episodes of Original Series, I'll drop those in as well. My goal is to have that done in the next 8 hours.
For those of you who are caught up on the Series and waiting for the August Episode(s), I'm going to take advantage of the fact that August has 5 Fridays in it, and delay the first release until next week. So for August, the schedule for Episode 8's will be:
- August 10th - Diary of a Cheating Milf
- August 17th - Lesbian Cock Addict
- August 24th - Succubus: Deceptive Desires
- August 31st - Courtesan of the Core Worlds
Hopefully that will all work out, because I also have a medical proceedure booked for mid-month, and I'm optimistically assuming it will be totally routine and not require me to stay overnight, or unexpectedly need to have any minor surgery or anything crazy like that. It's nothing bad, so don't worry!
One last thing, we may not have a Script Contest this month, because so far only 1 person has submitted a script. So looks like there isn't enough interest at the moment. I will probably put it off until September.

Yes, adult transactions on gift cards has been something a lot of adult merchant accounts prohibit because the card isn't registered to anyone, they don't know if the person using it is 60 of 15. And yeah, after several years in the phone sex business, I'm well acquainted with guys who lie about having used their card when they were wanking, sometimes they are just cheap assholes, and sometimes their wife sees the charge and then they blame it on their teenage nephew (knowing full well the credit card companies have to refund it or else they are knowingly selling porn or adult services to a minor). I wish everyone had bitcoin accounts, it would make my life a lot easier LOL

I think it was you or another developer I read said that they are declining prepaid gift credit cards. But that does sadly make sense since a lot of those can be under age individuals and many adult sites are even being pushed to stop accepting them. You said that you are doing stuff the guy who runs Affects3D.com. They have an excellent piece on financing for adult visual media artists and how it is getting harder for them to get a regular stream of payment options that cost them an arm and leg in extra interest charges since so many pull that "OH, that charge on my card, I didn't make could you take it off." They free content and the artist makes no money. The article said that credit card companies charge up to an 30% plus on all adult transactions to the sites themselves to make for the lose, since almost half of the charges asre claimed as fraud charges right after.

Quite a few previous declines have gone through in the past 12 hrs, but apparently Patreon is hammering the attempts through on cards that have declined and is driving some patrons away. Some banks are locking down their customer's cards due to Fraud Protection, and some other patrons are just unsubscribing to try to make the alerts stop going off on their phones/emails. Really just a mess. But luckily only about 10% of my patrons are still declined, though a few have unpledged because of the problems.

No issues here. Then Canada is one of the most stable and reliable banking systems in the world. My pledges went through fine.
