Regarding My September/October Content Schedule
🕑 Added 2018-09-01 14:23:05 +0000 UTC I know I've been a bit absent for the past few days, but we've been hit with one of those curveballs than sort of take over your life for a period of time, and I wanted to explain what's going on and what sort of effect it's going to have on my ability to record over the next two months.A bit of personal background first. We rent a pretty big house, because it's not just Daddy and me, but also his kids stay with us part time, and he has a large home office, and I have a recording studio. So we need like 5 bedrooms, which is a substantial sized house here in New Zealand. We found this house last year and have been so happy and comfortable here, and had planned to live here for several years. Well, we got notice a few days ago that the owners of this house want to move back into it, and we have 42 days to find a new place to live. So in the past 3-4 days, we have gone to about 16 open houses, trying to find a suitable replacement, and that has eaten up all of my usual recording time. And we are still looking.
What makes this even more stressful is that we have to be out by Oct 9th, and we were planning to leave on a 3 week vacation around Oct 11th. So I was already anticipating being gone for the majority of October and stressing about how I was going to put out enough content to keep everyone happy... but now I also have to deal with being tied up with constant appointments to look at houses until we find one, and then packing a 5bdrm house, moving, and unpacking and setting everything up, including a bunch of trial and error around getting the acoustics in my new recordings studio room up to par. This means that potentially most of September I'm going to be too busy to get a lot of recording done.
So I have decided that instead of driving myself crazy with worry and working myself into a sleep-deprived, stressy mess, I am conceding to the fact that I am not going to be able to release as many recordings as I normally do for the months of September and October. While I'm fairly sure that I will be releasing my 4 Original Series during these months, I don't know how many other recordings I'll have the time to produce. It may be 1 or 2, but definitely not the usual 5-6 per month that I've been maintaining all year long.
For most of my tiers, this won't really affect your rewards because I have about 200 previous recordings that you can choose from. This will really only effect the rewards of the Candy Buffet members, because they are expecting to receive 5-6 new recordings every month, in addition to an episode of each of my 4 Original Series. But what I can offer instead, for these 2 months, is that if I release only 1 or 2 additional recordings, you'll be able to choose other previous releases from my previous 200 recordings to make up the difference.
I work really hard every month to bring you a constant flow of new content, but every once in a while I need a break, and that's what this vacation was about. I was originally planning to work my butt off before we left to get lots of content prepared in advance and keep things flowing as usual while we were away. It really pains me not to be able to follow through with that plan, but I am being realistic here. Moving (for us at least) is a major stressor, and we've done it a few times together and it never gets easier. If I try to keep up my regular work schedule WHILE trying to move, he may not want to go on vacation with me after that! LOL
But in all seriousness, for those of you who might be new to my Patreon page, you should know that I take my commitment to my Patrons very seriously, and I didn't feel it was fair of me to just suddenly stop producing the expected amount of content without giving you a reason.
If you feel that you need to change or cancel your pledge, then of course I understand, but hopefully there is still enough content for you to choose from to let me slide for a couple of month until we can get settled in and spend a few weeks recharging our batteries. Whatever you decide to do, I want to thank you all for your support. Were it not for my patrons, I would probably be working in some call centre telling people to reboot their modems or justifying why their insurance premiums have increased.... and giving them boners while I did so. :p

Holy Crap that sucks Candy, not just the relocating but also that vacation time possibly being put on hold. I wish you and Daddy the best with finding a new house, and spending some quality time with each other. Lord knows we all need a break every once in a while so keep fighting the good fight until you get that sweet sweet rest. Like Peppa said, we'll still be here once the fire has simmered down a bit.

I don't know know why you're stressing about being tied up. I love that shit! π€£ I'm OK with a month off. I can't speak for the others at the buffet but it sounds like we'd all be better off letting you get over this speed bump.
