A day in the life of a voice actress with laryngitis....
🕑 Added 2019-03-26 08:04:40 +0000 UTCMy daily routine has taken a dramatic turn since getting sick. Usually I'm at my computer almost all day either recording, editing or working on promotional ideas, auditioning for new roles, reading through audiobook ads looking for new titles to narrate, etc. I am lucky to watch 1 show per day while we eat dinner, maybe 2 if Daddy is working from home because we'll squeeze in another episode when we eat lunch together. And when his kids are here, we don't normally get to watch anything we like, though we have developed a routine of watching The Flash or Supergirl with them on Tuesday nights.
But since I've been sick, I have had zero energy to do anything. I've been at my computer maybe twice in 3 days, and there rest of the time I've been laying on the couch, slipping in and out of consciousness, and binge watching all the shows that I've fallen way behind on.
Some people have asked me what I have been watching, so I thought I'd make a little list of the sort of shows I watch. (Sorry in advance to all the anime boys, but I have zero interest in anime. I appreciate you making suggestions, but I seriously find anime rather annoying.)
Here are the shows I watch:
- The Orville
- Star Trek: Discovery
- This Is Us
- The Magicians
- Bates Motel
- Riverdale
- Blindspot
- Siren
- Empire
- The Flash
- Supergirl
- Gotham
- The Voice
So, that's me in a nutshell. I'm afraid I'm going to go through TV withdrawal when it's finally time for me to get back to work! But for now, it's how I'm passing the time, keeping quiet and resting my voice. Trust me, I hate not being productive more than you could possibly imagine, and as soon as I am feeling confident with my voice I will be eeking my way back into it gradually.
Until then, I have a New Release coming tomorrow that I recorded a few months ago and the writer just disappeared on me and has never been back in contact to pay me for doing the narration. So I've decided I'm just going to release it on my Patreon because why should I waste all that time recording it and not get paid for it, right? Plus, I owe you guys one more release this month! So stay tuned tomorrow, same Bat Time, same Bat Channel! *POW*

Hope you feel better soon Candy🤗

Tbh, season 2 is pretty skippable. You could easily just watch Punisher's scenes on YouTube and read the Wiki summary of the season. Also, I just noticed the 60's Batman reference. God I love that show. The 1966 movie is my fav movie of all time. It's so ridiculous and funny. Now I'm gonna have to watch it. Thanks for that, it's 2.5 hours! :)

Yes, we watched a handful of episodes when it first came out, but then lost interest. But I do remember liking it, thanks for the reminder :)

If you like superheroes, Daredevil is worth a watch. Season 3 is IMHO the best thing Marvel have ever made. The acting is amazing, it has some of the best fight coreography I've ever seen, and the villain is so smart and so seemingly undefeatable he's genuinely scary. There wasn't an episode in the whole series I'd rate lower than 8.

I think I was too raised on Disney ... the art style of most animes aren't aesthetically pleasing to me, and most of the ones that I've seen clips of just seem to revolve around weird characters, eccentric stories and plot lines that I just found sort of ... meh
Crew Glove
Shame you don't like anime. There are titles that even those who are allergic to the genre can get into.
