Yeah it's confusing, -_-. Nagas, Lamias, Gorgons, sneople, Venusulians, snake folk, Yaun-gi. Gosh. I just kinda have my personal headcanon for all of them. Like Naga's can range from highly humanistic to very little, but always have a extreme amount of scales or are just covered in them, can be both male and female equally. Lamias are alway human top, snake bottom, tend to have little scales on the human haft of the body, predominantly female, but males do exist. Gorgons, human top, snake bottom, snakes for hair, scales vary, always female. Sneople, snake head human body, tend to be covered in scales, equally male and female. Venusulian, never touching that cause flipping Lovecraft. And Snake folk and Yaun-gi are all encompassing. But that's just me.

Yeah I think at the time my brain was just thinking what would be the most easily recognizable name to get the idea across as they do have multiple names and though petrification is not a thing they all do- so going with the more famous mythological name, (even though Gorgon) is the more general name, made sense at the time.

I wouldn't call it annoying, but my situational brain would be making a sling solely to break it if I was in the protagonists shoes. As a viewer it adds a more relaxed sense of humor which worked out to relieve some of the tension of my anxiety. I am a very satisfied dog.

As someone with arousal anxiety the chase scene had me flipping out and laughing at the same time. The AI gave me clap trap flashbacks and I haven't thought of how to destroy hardware like a caveman in a while. Even so this was surprisingly exciting. Monster stuff and yandere content are my biggest guilty pleasure.
