So I've had my MRT on last thursday and the tilt-table test (which was thankfully not as scary as it sounded in the info letter I got ) on friday and got my official POTS diagnosis now, it's been a suspected diagnosis for a while now due to me having almost all of of the symptoms and fainting several times over the span of my life with no known cause, now I know it's because I'm chronically ill.
So it's not actually a big surprise for me that it's indeed my diagnosis & and I'm not suddenly ill from one week to another, those who've been around here for a while know that I've been pretty much dealing with this for at least a year now and how chronic illnesses are some days / phases are just worse than others. But I still gotta deal with the fact & realization that I'm chronically ill and alot more things than I initially thought being connected to it, I learned that the vision-issues I've been experiencing in phases for a year now are most likely connected to POTS too as well as some other frequent health-issues I'm dealing with.
Thankfully the diagnosis also brought some good things aside from clarity on what's going on with my body! I got a multi-step treatment plan now that includes adjusting my diet, high fluid intake (which I already do because I can barely function if I'm not at at least 3l of hydration per day ^^; ) , more compression devices to wear and a specific stamina exercise routine. Since my body and jogging are mortal enemies & I'm usually near fainting after having to jog or sprint for more than like 4 minutes and all the pools are closed here due to Corvid, he suggested to me to buy an exercycle for that, which is exactly why I'm hosting this unplanned YCH! . Not going to buy a high-end one but it's still around ~200€ in unplanned expenses at least plus more compression devices so I have more to change, depending on how well the auction goes I might also buy one of these fitness bracelet things that measure your heart rate to . Thankfully these are also not too expensive. Aside from that it's just taking my meds if necessary, avoiding certain heavy trigger situations and hoping these measurements will help keeping my symptoms more controlled since just laying around & staying indoors most of the time due to pandemic and its related stress most likely did its part in making them much worse 😬
The general prognosis for things improving again through the measures is good though! so I'm just hoping for the best now and will do my best to work on it asap ! 💪 So unplanned YCH it is.
if these measures won't help, it's trying out more and stronger meds but for now I'm just hoping the softer methods will do their thing ^^; I'm thankfully on the lower end of the spectrum which I'm really grateful for , meaning there's plenty of people whose POTS is much worse than mine.

After all it's what I love and enjoy most and being stuck with these symptoms , the constant appointments and hospital visits is really not fun for me 😓 I'm looking forward to some sort of normalcy returning to my life and hope for the best :) I don't plan to let this get me down or let me stop from doing what I love so do not worry y'all, I'll keep going for sure! 💪💖
Having a bunch of other doctor's appointments in the upcoming weeks too, gotta talk to my regular doctor after the diagnosis for more individual details on my treatment plan and gotta get my eyes properly checked to see if the vision issues I'm currently struggeling with are only related to POTS or if it's also my eyesight possibly getting worse and me needing new glasses.

Thank you so much! ;-; ♥ and np, I want to be open about this so you guys can better understand what's going on and that I'm not disappearing or being slow by choice. If I could I would personally fistfight my illness to get rid of it to go back to how things used to be and having a much easier time with drawing or anything really. I'm just trying to stay optimistic now that I have the confirmed diagnosis that the treatment will help :)
