ok so this new video, huh? I've got some thoughts, figured I'd share 'em.

You might've noticed I left a note in the desc/comments basically saying it was a filler video, and yeah that's true.. i really wanted to talk about current events. So much so, that it honestly felt weird to talk about anything else (i was mid-way through production on a Halo video before dropping it to make this instead).
I finished writing the video a couple days after finishing half life alyx, and I had a contractual obligation to upload the raycon ad by the end of the month, so basically we went from script to full video in roughly 5 days, which for me is fucking insane. You can probably tell that I cut corners to upload faster (less animation, less thoughtful commentary, less editing, etc).
I pretty much woke up, worked, and went to bed for the last 2 or 3 days to make it happen, I definitely regret it a little, but people seemed to really enjoy the video, so I guess it worked out.
tl;dr I've definitely learned my lesson and I'm gonna try not to do that to myself again.
What did you guys think about the video? Noticeably different from other uploads?
p.s. sorry for only offering early viewing last-second, I'm gonna try to avoid that moving forward.

This was one of the best video's I've watched in a while. Was it technically as impressive as Adaptive Music or the VR vid? Probably not, but I enjoyed it just as much. As Daniel said, you have a really well-developed voice in this medium and that foundation means whatever type of video you build, it's going to be solid. And yeah, no difference in feel from your normal vids. If you hadn't said anything about the crazy circumstances, I would have been none-the-wiser.
I liked the video a lot. I still can't believe you make your ads enjoyable to watch. I like seeing them, which I normally don't. Normally I skip promotions in videos right away but not in your videos because you make it entertaining. If the ad is entertaining then the rest of the video is twice or thrice as entertaining, right? I couldn't even tell that the video was rushed. I thought it was a full on big upload. So yea. Good. Go Go Gadget I'm out of here bye

Anytime you're talking about games I can hear the passion in your voice and that's what I love about your channel. This was still a quality upload and I'm glad you liked Ori as much as I did.

I thought this video was really good; I know you kinda crunched it but I honestly couldn’t really tell by the video, it looked and sounded great. It didnt really feel like a “different” to your normal type I’d upload, besides the fact the focus was a lot more broad, which is understandable considering all the stuff coming out and isn’t a bad thing in the slightest. It is some quality stuff. Take care of yourself man, and relax, you’ve certainly earned it

I liked the content, I think the video shows how the corner-less core of your channel is great quality. I wouldn’t want you to repeat the rushing and self-torture ever again, but I do encourage you to go with your gut instincts and first impressions on edits, commentary, and comedic bits, instincts which again were proven to be rock solid. I hope this whole experience gives you even more confidence going forward.
