Holiday Island 0.1.9.0 beta has been released

pre beta testing for 0.1.9.0 has been finished and it's now available for everyone.
The update from 0.1.8.0 to 0.1.9.0 has 687 new renders, videos and sound files.
Most of the new stuff is in ".webp" format and at least 1920x1080 resultion, which reduces space and increases image quality at the same time.

Save games from 0.0.8 alpha and later versions should still be working. Older saves are no longer supported.

Since I can't relese bug fixes (or any partial updates) for Android, the first (and only) Android version for 0.1.9.x will be 0.1.9.1.
It will be released in a couple of days. Thank you for your understanding.
Please extract the files into a new folder! Do not overwrite the exising game folder from an older version!

You can use your pre peta 0.1.9 save games, but you have to open the console and update Amy's achievements manually:
amy.create_appointments_available()
amy.create_scenes_available()
amy.create_events_available()
amy.add_event_seen("Nightbar_arm_wrestling")
amy.add_event_seen("Nightbar_arm_wrestling_win")
amy.add_scene_seen("Nightbar_arm_wrestling_sex")
The first three are mandatory.
The last three depend on your game progress if you have to do them or not.
EDIT: For all of you that get crashes as soon as you click on preferences or load, please apply the fix attached "use_fixed_resolution_720.zip".
What it will do is the following:
It will remove the resolution options and also the auto window scaling. After you have applied the patch, you will also be able to manually scale the game window again (e.g. maximizing it).
There are two files inside the zip:
- screens.rpyc --> this file will also be included in the next update, so everyone can use it without problems.
- use_fixed_resolution_720.txt --> the new code from "screens.rpyc" checks if the file "use_fixed_resolution_720.txt" is present in your "HI"/game folder. If it is, the new resolution change options will be disabled and the game behaves as 0.1.8.2 did in that regard. If you delete or rename the file "use_fixed_resolution_720.txt", you will have the resolution change options from 0.1.9 back.

One of the most satisfying updates (but I don't know if it was done in the most current version) is the "Preferences > Save Description = No" choice.

You can play full screen. It's not possible to use 2560x1440 on a screen of that size (I also have a 2560x1440 screen), because the window needs space too (it would effectively rewuire something like 2600x1440). I disabled it on purpose with a lot of effort. If you could enable it, your game would freeze.

I worked around #2 by going back to 1.8.2, finishing the strip poker game, and making a new save.

Hello, is there any way to set my game resolution to 1440p without a 4k monitor? I have a 1440p monitor, and was wondering if there was a file that I could edit.
