this post offers you a collection of news about the next version of Holiday Island (0.3.6).
You can see the main focus and side areas for the next update in the above image.
The change log below is based on the release 0.3.5.0.
The next main release is 0.3.6 which will be a full update for Windows, Linux and Mac. It will include new features and some bug fixes as well.
An incremental update to 0.3.5.1 will be released soon for Windows, Linux and Mac. Also a full update for Android version 0.3.5.1 will be released soon.
As of right now, the update from 0.3.5.0 to 0.3.6.0 has:

New features and content
- Ivy's sene at reception where you ring the bell has been replaced with new and improved images --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Ivy gets a remade beach walk scene, where the quest to find out about her "real strength" continues --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Amy gets a scene where she helps the MC to change the weights before he spots Lacey for her benh presses --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey's poker play images have been remade to match her new appearance --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey gets a remade pecs training scene --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey gets a scene at the gym shower with two achievements --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey gets a remade weight liffting scene at the gym --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey gets a quest line about her background --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey gets a workout yoga scene with two achievements --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey's night bar drink scene is remade --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey's regular arrival scene has been extended and has three achievements now --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey's pole dance scene has been extended and split into two achievements --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey gets a plane girl arrival scene --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey gets a new plane girl scene --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Sara takes our hero back to the surface after his chat with Mia --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- The MC chats some more with Mia after Sara has taken the bllod sample --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Sara takes a blood sample from the MC down at the underground lab --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Jessica gets a lapdance poker reward add-on with a happy ending and a new sexting --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Jessica's poker play scene is remade --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Ivy visits the MC in his room after the breast bump event and she poses for him --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Ivy gets an improved breast bump event with new renders and four achievements --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey gets a remade pull-ups scene and a short quest for strength training --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey will be replaced by a new and very much improved version. All her character sprites are remade and she gets some new outfits --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- The MC chats with Mia and gets a MRI for his ankle --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Daniela does a MRI on Mia and the MC meets Mia for the first time --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Sara picks up the MC at his room for a checkup on his ankle --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Aly gets a workout shower scene with a happy ending for the MC --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Aly gets a remade and very much improved workout bench press scene with three achievements --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Deliza gets new sperm congestion problem scenes for both of her nurse outfits --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- You will be able to ask Yvette to go to the sauna with you. She will get a short walk to and enter the sauna sequence. --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
Minor improvements and changes
- Lacey gets individualized "talk about herself" chat lines --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- The beach background images have been ugraded to 2560x1440 and webp format --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Ivy gets emotions for her swimwear sprites --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Lacey gets emotions for her swimwear sprites --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Seven new images have been added to Yumiko's "Guess Who" game --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- The manage dream images sreen has been adjusted to look like the easter egg screen --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- Yvette gets new high res character sprites for her swimwear, including emotions --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
- The night bar gets a new background image and Jennifer and Yumiko get a new bartender sprite --> will be part of 0.3.5.1
- Alice gets new base sprites for her doctor uniform (including emotional states) --> will be part of 0.3.5.1
- The restaurant area gets some new renders (background and rain) for rainy days --> will be part of 0.3.5.1
- Delizia gets new high res sprites for all her swimwear actions and base images --> will be part of 0.3.5.1
Bug fixes
- In certain special circumstances there was still rain inside during encounters in the hotel hallway --> will be fixed with 0.3.6.0
- Several missing tooltips were fixed on different screens --> will be fixed with 0.3.6.0
- Alice breast type still showed unknown after a walk on the beach with her --> will be fixed with 0.3.6.0
- More small bugs concerning Deliza and the doctor's office have been fixed --> will be fixed with 0.3.5.1
- By the pool, sitting on the sunbed with Ivy in basic swimmsuit a black rectangle is fading in and out of screen. --> will be fixed with 0.3.5.1
- When visiting Amy or Ivy or Yvette in her room and the girl opens the door, the image sprites are not the correct size (they re too large) --> will be fixed with 0.3.5.1
- When going on a date using the button in the calendar app, the phone stays open and blocks the view --> will be fixed with 0.3.5.1
- When the phone is open and you talk/compliment a girl, the game crashes --> will be fixed with 0.3.5.1
- When talking to Sara during her experiment quest line, a crash can occur (IndexError: list index out of range), can be ignored and continued, so not critical --> will be fixed with 0.3.5.1
- When Deliza leaves for her doctor exam, a couple of problems occured (crash at the doctor's office, duplicate Delizia doctor) --> will be fixed with 0.3.5.1
Is the update going to break save games?:
0.3.5.1 --> Save games from 0.0.8 and later can still be used. Earlier saves are no longer supported.
0.3.6.0 --> same as for 0.3.5.1

Dear Darkhound, I keep seeing two Delizas at the doctor's office. Just wanted to report it... It's not like one of the images misrepresents another nurse... Like, I used to have an invisible Desire that I could give a hug, who also occasionally appeared next to Deliza. Now it's all Deliza... Nothing much to complain of course. She's a delight. Oh, and thanks for keeping this game awesome.

In the end, the version number is just a number. It's not really a scientific approach. I more or less just make them up :) Basically after each version jump 3.x.0 there is a bug fix 3.x.1 and it might be followed by a small incremental update 0.3.x.2. The bigger jump in numbers last time was mainly related to changing Delizia to staff and the introduction of that new concept.

I'm thinking that since there are so many changes from the current version to the next update, would it be possible that it will be version 3.8 rather than 3.6? I went back to the previous update and noticed more changes between those two, but that was a .4 upgrade. That's why I thought this would only be about .2.

I only recently noticed that Delizia's posture changes at the doctor's office depending on her stats. Nice touch!

All the dialogue has to be written, images have to be added to the sript. Stuff like zoom effects, sound, etc have to be added. Also the integration into the game like triggers and achievements have to be added. Some of the images are not post worked yet, so this has to be done as well.

I'm curious. When it says "renders are done" does that mean the scripting is what needs to be done to complete the scenes, or is there some more than that?

Based on the progression mentioned above as of 7/9/22, I'm guessing the next release should be by the end of August/early September. I'm not asking for an exact release date since I know better. As I said, it's just my guesstimate. :-)

I have the update 3,5,1 now, And I have had IVY show up 4 times in the hallway, going back to my room. Speaking of going back to room, will you be making a floor plan of the Hotel with ALL, thats ALL the girls room location?

I don't know about anyone else, but if it's raining outside, I'd prefer to be sitting under a canopy that is retractable than in a downpour while I eat. Another thought. Sorry, my mind just works that way.

Small request, and feel free to disregard. Aly's strength score is currently 2/10, although the existing rendors in the gym seem to suggest she is more capable that she seems.. Would it be possible to boost this score in game to be more in line with the rendors?

I found a bug, in the 3.5 update and hope it got fixed with the 3.5.1 update. The bug is when you first meet the girls and ask them all the questions, The girls are all in the for ground, with the questions are behind then and I for one can't read them. Then, I have a question. When you ask Alice to pole dance and go up stairs with her and have sex with her, how come no animation? But when she wins the WET "T" SHIRT contest or the best butt contest, and you get invited for a romp back in her room their is some, why?

Hey Darkhound I realy like your game :D I just have one little request. As I am affected by an colorblindness(protanopia) It is hard to determine the colors at the phone on the appointment screens. Especially yellow and green. It would be the best to change the hearts to different forms. I know there is one flower and the others have hearts. I think all categories should have different forms, and they should be mentioned in the tooltip.

Next weekend is only a bug fix with some minor stuff. Everything that has 0.3.5.1 on it. All the big things like lab, etc. are part of 0.3.6.

Wow, a REAL birthday present! You're spoiling this old man something fierce this week! Can NOT wait to see the new underground lab scenes, especially more Daniela!! Really hope we get some intimate time with her, and she didn't find someone to "help" her on that vacation Joy forced her to take. Those would truly be classic scenes! Mia is a new girl the MC will meet in the underground lab. She won't be a guest on the island, but you will meet her again later in a different place. (I'm trying to avoid spoilers). It will hopefully be clearer after the next update.
