I know it has been a while since the last update (and since my last post).
So I think the least I could do is to let you know why and what's going on with the game.
Creating the lab area, introducing two new important characters and advancing the story takes a lot more time than I had anticipated.
On top of that, you will get a lot of cool new features with 0.3.0 as well. You might ask yourself if they were really necessary and if I couldn't have just concentrated on the lab.
My answer to that is well, yes and no.
None of the new functions is strictly necessary. If you run a project for several years, one of the most important things is to stay motivated. To make sure it stays that way, I need options and different things to work on.
Sometimes I really want to program new code and functions. Sometimes creating renders is themain thing I do for weeks.
The lab introduction will be mostly in VN mode. So the writing is a very important part too. Without creativity writing doesn't work or at least it's painfully slow going and the results are not as good as they could be.
Almost all of the lab renders are fully enclosed indoor renders with a ton of artificial lights. Even with my new hardware, one render can take 30 minutes or even longer.
This is also something that slows down render count compared to outdoor scenes.
That's the first collection of reasons why there is still no release date for 0.3.0.
The other reason is more or less related to the corona crisis.
Life since corona is a bit crazy for all of us, and unfortunately it's not going to change any time soon.
For some of you the corona crisis has probably led to financial problems or unemployment. And for some of you, that are working in certain areas, the workload has gone through the roof.
I'm not working in medical, so it's probably not the worst it could be for me. But with each crisis, there comes change within the organizations. The company I work for is no exception in that matter. Working in the IT department, the workload is quite high since months and that's not going to change for months.
As a result, I cannot spend as much time on game development as I'd like to and progress is a little slower than you're used to. Right now, the update to 0.3.0 has more than 500 new renders, animations and sound files.

Now about some of the new features
- You can send messages of different types to the girls and they will reply in a positive or negative manner, depending on their stats
- Girls will drop hints about their former life which you can use to search the web for sexy pictures. Righ now there are "Car Calendar" images for Amy and "Busty Escorts" images for Renée.
- New gifts and presents have been added, together with additional functionality. Meaning, not every girl likes every gift now. There are some that work for everyone and some that don't work for certain girls (or at least doesn't make them happy when they get it),
What to expect in the coming weeks (and months)
- More updates on my patreon page compared to the really quiet last two months
- More and better information on what to expect and better game update status
- Game development will still be slower than some months ago
- Some teasters about the lab and the new characters
I can understand if you are not happy with how things are progressing. What I wrote is not meant as an excuse. I simply wanted you to know how things are right now and what to expect in the next months.

I was lazy, right now there are only 2 slots for the web search. Finish Amy or Aly and you will see Renée. I will change that for the next release. EDIT: Added a third and fourth slot for the next release.
I had the drink and the bar with Renée and she told me about her "secret", but I don't see the "Busty Escorts" images when surfing the net. (I see the 2 others for Aly and Amy..) Tried to re-drink with her at the bar but I got only the footjob scene again ... any hint ?

As others have indicated, you need to work on this project in whatever way keeps it engaging and fun for you. Whenever it comes, it comes. Of course I'm sure that we'd all prefer not to wait, but we understand that life happens. Your commitment to quality makes it well worth the wait when the next update does arrive. P.S. Haha hang in there, buddy. Things are definitely crazy. I have 69 (niicceeee) meetings on my calendar this week. How the hell is anyone supposed to get any work done with that many meetings? Never in my career before this pandemic has work been this insane for such a sustained period of time. It's like everyone figured out you can work even more when you work from home. Yikes. However long it takes for the next version to come out is fine by me. You do excellent work and I don't you won't just phone it in, however long it takes.

It is indeed crazy times and v3.0 is looking like a huge creative effort of creating, writing and code both a new area, story and characters. But with ~500 renders, animations and video files already ready, we seem to be in you usual good hands :) And nice to see the game enhancement teasers, QoL and improvements are always welcome Much to look forward to, take the time you need and thanks for the update :)
