Reception images and overlays remade (0.3.1 preview)

you might thave read it in the development news already. The reception area gets an upgrade with the next release.
It has been bugging me for some time, that the image quality of the girls at reception were no longer on par with all the other sprites of the beautiful ladies on the island.
So I decide to remake the reception images for all the girls in super high res. Since I was at it anyway, the display and overlay logic has also been changed in a way that allows to use all the other sprites (girls wearing nightwear or swimwear) at reception as well.
You can see how that looks in the last two preview images.
I've also uses different zoom levels in the preview images that can be used with the new display logic.
You might ask why that's a good thing or what it can be used for.
One use is that the girls on reception duty can go to the bar and have a drink. Once you ring the bell at recpetion, they'll come running, wearing their evening clothes.
From a technical point of view, there are 3 images at reception:
- there is the base image that is behind the girl
- then the sprite of the girl
- the top layer is the reception desk, partially hiding the girl
This setup is a lot more flexible and doesn't require the cut off sprites any more that were used before.
In one of the next releases, I will probably redo the restaurant area as well, since this is the only remaining area, that still uses low quality sprites.

Always interesting and fun to see how much can be gained by increasing the flexibility of the functional logic. A good value-adding exercise to content.

Maybe the girls could also have different outfits in the restaurant.

Not really a bug, just a function of the watch. It happens when you are between the bar maid and the next girl too. You can get it to stop by turning off the always show the PC's data by hitting the button at the top right of the data area. Hope that helps. Also, the next update will address some watch issues.

As long as you are re-doing the basic images, can you add the missing flash images. These are the ones where the girl says her dress is too complicated to flash you. A line might be added to say, "Let me come closer so you can help me with this dress." The missing "show me your breasts" images are: Alice Basic Dress, Amy Revealing Dress, Brenda Basic Swim, Desire Basic Swim and Dress, Eva Basic Swim, Heather Basic Swim, Jessica Basic Swim, Lacey Basic Swim and Dress, Natasha Basic Dress, Renee Basic Swim and Dress, Yvette Basic Dress.

It doesn't happen to me. Maybe you had the cursor in a spot very close to Mercedes' edge and your mouse sensitivity is very high.

Just noticed a bug in version 0.3.0.0. At the pool when Mercedes is on duty, hovering the cursor over the mattress she’s sitting on causes the watch data to spastically switch between Mercedes’s info and the player’s.

Difficult, because all the actions like hug/kiss etc. are not available as renders and the sprite images for visiting a girl are also different at the moment. I might change that too later on, but not right now.
