Oh, by the way, Dorothy wasn’t in on the plan. There was a rumor that elphaba s soul was so unclean that pure water would melt her. It’s easy to miss, it was when the people of Oz were singing about her being wicked. Back at the beginning. So Elphaba used that rumor to fake her own death, and slip into a trap door.

What a phenomenal film! Even my 15-year-old son was moved at the closet scene at the end. He grabbed my arm in the theater and gassed. Oh no Glenda was there the whole time. And then I was crying all the way to the end.

I just realized that Alice Fearn (who played Elphaba in London's West End production of Wicked) was Galinda's mother at the beginning of the film! What a nice tribute.

There is so much more nuance than “she’s the villain”, yes she made very bad decisions but in the end she had been changed for good, and tries to do good, this doesn’t excuse the harm she had contributed to, but like I said I think you miss a huge core of the movie by saying she’s just a villain.

Finally, a reactor that actually gets it, lets the movie hit them just like it hit me in the theatre. So many over analyze or make jokes or just don’t pay attention to the themes and parallels we have in our current time. But you hit all the marks I feel a good reactor, and a good human, should. I'm so glad you liked it, but I'm also not surprised at all! Just so you know, the door scene after For Good was improvised by Ari and Cynthia (including the "I love you's")! They just kept rolling, so it's definitely a lot of their real emotions there

glinda is definitely the villain by doing the easy thing and reaping the benefits from authoritarians and even being the spokesperson for that agenda… BUT somehow we still cry about their friendship lol great acting and music writing

i don’t think a livestream would be a good idea just IMO because some streamers who do this get so distracted by chat they miss stuff in the movies/shows!! but you could always try it if that’s what you wanted to do! would you ever consider starting tv shows? like game of thrones or like whatever?

A wonderful film. It really divided critics and audiences, some consider it great, others not so much, but WHO CARES at this point. I cried my eyes out the first time I watched it. John M. Chu has treated this adaptation with so much care, in both parts, and what Cynthia and Ariana do is genuinely beautiful. And as you probably noticed, the first part was about Elphaba and her journey, while this latest one is about Glinda and her evolution into becoming “the Good.” Thank you for sharing this moment with us — it’s emotional to experience things like this with people like you.
