Patreon Changes and the Future - Update

I'm grateful for everyone who has stuck with me here and I'll definitely be looking at implementing a new rewards system with a chance for a monthly tf suggestion. Let's see if we can make this Patreon the best tip jar it can be uwu/

Hello everyone. Many may be aware of the recent changes that will be sweeping through Patreon in a week's time. For those who don't, the bottom line is that you, the Patrons, will be charged more for every monthly donation, and those who will be hurt most will be in the $1-5 line. Patreon users are already up in arms about this, and many Patreon users are losing hundreds of dollars from losing those who pay on the lower tiers.
When I originally built this place it was intended to be a tip jar, and over 75% of my patrons are in the $1-5 bracket, providing 40% of the income. I really don't want to lose you guys, especially as many provide nice commentary on my sketches. I was really looking forward to expanding the tiers to get more audience involvement with the suggestion sketches, but again these were planning to be within that $1-5 bracket. I would need to think of a new way of implementing it if this plan went ahead...
So far I've been keeping an eye on this debate between the creatives and Patreon, though it seems so far the latter is remaining adamant about their decision. In the end they'll only be hurting their own business. Personally I don't want to lose this Patreon page, especially with how much has been put into it, but at the same time I think its unfair that you Patrons have to pay the price for this.
Please let me know what you Patrons think, I'm open to suggestions, especially if I need to find alternatives. Again I want to thank everyone here for supporting me and giving me the financial freedom to try new things

It's probably from the huge backlash it was getting with Patreon users and patrons. I'd been hearing quite a few people that do the smaller amounts had already planned to end using Patreon and even among some of the people I donate to I had noticed they'd had users drop in the past month.

I know the NSFW art aspects have been the most difficult thing on others finding alternatives, and it had looked like for awhile even Patreon was going to be taking a hard line with it.

The main concerns I have with alternatives is finding one that will accept the kind of content I post. Patreon has been okay for my brand NSFW (even with the recent changes) but others are far more strict. If anyone has suggestions for patreon alternatives it would be greatly appreciated uwu;

There does seem to be a few alternatives out there. Hopefully I can find one that at least matches the old Patreon style and doesn't require some sort of subscription on my part uwu;

It really does suck for all of us and I still don't get why they want to take away a system that works really well. Whatever I find to fix this I don't want you guys to pay the cost.

It might be worth it to see what alternatives to Patreon there are as there are a lot of people unhappy since those $1-$5 donations make up the majority for most people. As a donator I can see it's easy to give $1 but it sucks that Patreon would now be taking 38 cents of it.

It hurts. It hurts a lot that I can't really decide what to do. I love the art of all the people I support. But, i don't want to pay more. All in all this sucks.
