I do NOT take any money down until I have a proposal sketch ready for you. Once approved, i take half the payment to do the inking, coloring and effects. Then once the drawing is completed to your satisfaction, I take the remaining half.

A single $10 flat charge for taking on a commission, plus $20 per character, plus $20 for a simple background or detailed prop.
