Though Combining that with the Thief Rogues ability to take the Use an Object action as a bonus action would be a nice combo.

You have to use an action, but taking the Use An Object action to prime a bomb includes the ability to attack with it. Quoted: "Once per turn you can take the Use an Object action to prime a bomb with explosive reagents and make an attack with it, increasing the bomb’s explosive potential." So you're getting the increased damage every turn at functionally zero loss unless you have access to Extra Attack from multiclassing.

Question about the Bombs... you say you can take the use an object action to swap your dex modifier with your int modifier. Do you mean the free object interaction, or do you have to spend a turn's action and then only throw a bomb every other turn for an additional point or 2 of damage?

Correct. They want the Completes to provide something more than what's offered in Valda's, so there's a reason to actually still care about the Completes.
