[WIP] Wrex Romance, plans for November and December
🕑 Added 2025-10-31 00:29:27 +0000 UTCHey everyone! I'm getting work done, however it seems like I won't make it to the N7 Day, the burn out is unfortunately real. The last post-coitus bit will be late.
Here's the full runtime so far - Link
I'm not particularly happy with the way I handled the scheduling for this project, as well as splitting it out across bits of multiple months but oh well, it is what it is.
Here's what I'm going to do:
November:
Full focus on finishing the animation, at the pace that won't make me go mad;
If it's done before any of the usual upload dates (10th, 20th, 30th) - those will proceed as normal.
December:
I'll be taking the entirety of December off (possibly the first week or so of January as well), to recharge and make an attempt to ditch Windows for Linux. That would require extensive testing and I'd like to make sure everything works well and my workflow is not ruined;
Billing will be paused on the 1st of December. You won't be charged and there won't be any new posts.
That should be all for now. If you have any questions - let me know.

I hope I'm not in the minority when I say I'd rather you focus on this and enjoy the process (as much as ya can) than try to do this AND side animations as well. So the fact you're now fully spearheading only this project makes me happy to hear :] I think this is worth the wait, and any other content can just come after, I'd say.

Thanks! For the most part - various user-made asset extractors, like Legendary Explorer (confirmed by a friend not working with WINE) for Mass Effect and WoWExport for Warcraft. Photoshop would have to be replaced, or maybe ran in a VM. My mocap workflow will probably be the biggest pain point, but I guess that would have to be dual-booted if it fails. Probably a dozen of other things that I cant think of off top of my head.

I wish you luck on your forays into the land of linux. Blender is already FOSS, so that won't be the sticking point at least. What other programs are part of your workflow?
