The original story in that old comic is a bit different from the direction this current story is going. So a proper retelling or rework might help connect everything better.
Or would it be better to just add a few panels or pages in this comic to show Luna’s backstory — how she got her new powers and what exactly happened back then?

Yeah, I’ve been thinking of doing kind of a remaster inside this comic — like a short flashback sequence over a few pages. That way, I can show what really happened with Luna, without confusing things with a separate remake that might clash with the current timeline. I feel like doing it directly here will make everything more clear and connected!

A remaster's probably the way to go in order to have everything flow together better. And agreed with OffSeerMio about Ruby: she'd probably try to find two and convince Nova she needs to get eaten as well ^^

I'd suggest a remaster, personally, Luna's current design is way different than how it was at the time and that comic's ending's continuity is just kinda borked with this new comic. Also, Sylvia better not tell Ruby anything about this, she'd probably try to get herself eaten by an evil slime in the hopes of getting permanent slime powers :p EDIT: Also, Luna being such a shorty is kinda cute lol
